I totally had Vice City flashbacks during that, lol. But I like it, want see how it fits into the story. We knew from day one this was going to be more realistic than the original. When we get the game, I'm sure it'll make sense. :)

I think it's fair to assume this new planet has a slightly weaker gravitational field than earth. ;)

Oooooohhhh I like that theory. It would also explain why there's no fall damage, and why the native creatures are so freakishly huge.

Nope. (Higher O2 concentrations would explain that one. Atmosphere is more "liquid" and the bodies of such beasts would have an effective buyoncy to help support their size as well as feed their muscles. They'd also have hollow bones and be surprisingly light. Also why they all have big tails.)

Higher O2 alone wouldn't explain no fall damage and super jump height for humans. Plus O2 is toxic to us in too high a concentration.

A combination of higher O2 and lower gravity could work. That way they'd be able to function from both a biochemical and physical point of view.

Lower G would mess up the atmospheric gradients and pressures/concentrations though, and the O2 concentration would be limited.

I doubt the game creators put that much scientific thought into it. ;)
