Bingo! Your examples of multiplat success on Wii U are kid friendly games, that shows what Wii U audiences are interested in. Rest assured those are still coming to Wii U.

RE Revelations was a flop on 360 and Wii U. That wasn't a Wii U success story.

The X1 has a smaller userbase than Wii U and still does a significantly better job at moving multiplat software. The Wii U is good at moving Nintendo games and other family friendly games.

in case you didn't notice, YOUR cod, AC and batman examples are in the same range of those "kid friendly games". and even tough multi, third party games like zombi U, monster hunder, lego city and bayonetta 2 sold much more than those examples.

you are just spinning things to make it seems like the wii u audience doesn't buy every kind of game.

No, CoD and Batman Arkham series are not considered kid friendly. I can only assume you haven't played them much. Black Ops 2 in particular is pretty brutal.

Zombi U, Bayonetta 2, and Lego City are exclusives. Those are reasons for people to buy a Wii U since they can't get those games on other platforms. 3rd parties don't want to make Wii U exclsives. Multiplats have more potential for success.

If NIntendo wants more stuff like Bayonetta 2 and Zombi U on their platform, they can simply fund it themselves. 3rd parties will support Wii U if Nintendo takes the financial risks.

I am saying that cod, batman and AC sold in the same range of your "kid friiendly" examples. at lest they did generally better than the lego games.

3rd parties will support wii u when the bribery and bias go away.

edit: and even if bayo 2 and zombi U are exclusive, they are m rated and sold very well.

engines are scalable. and even if a game ran at 720p on ps4/x1, it wouldn't be anywhere near 480p on wii u, more like 600-640p with some tweeks. you are again trying to make porting look like alien tech. and to put in perspective, we can already see wii u rendering xenoblade chronicles x at 720p. the most probable scenario is FF 15 900-1080p on ps4/x1 and 720p on wii u.

Engines are scalable IF they were already ported, but if the engine is not available on the console just making it run takes a lot of effort, expensive engineer effort. If the port is done from PS3/360 to Wii U, the change is small and ports are cheap, as they use essentially the same assets (3D models, animations, textures, etc) and they just have to tweek the engine to adjust for the more powerful GPU and less powerful CPU, but from PS4/X1 to Wii U is a complete different monster to attack.

Xenoblade Chronicles X runs at 720p with assets created with the Wii U in mind, if FF15 is 900-1080p with assets created for the PS4/X1, taking it to the Wii U at 720p would be a big (read expensive) job without a base audience as previous games of the series were not available for the console, too risky and, coming back to the original point, not an obvious choice.

square is using luminous engine, wich they clearly stated is highly scalable. the assets weren't created for ps4/x1, they were created, period.

"previous games of the series were not available for the console" this will forever remain a lame excuse. if it had any value, no game would have been released on playstation or xbox 360. and previous games of the series not only WERE AVAILABLE but started on nintendo systems.

60$ I think I will have to pass on this one.

I should really keep a wishlist of all the good 3rd party ports Wii U got around launch, though. So far Ninja Gaiden, Deus Ex, Batman, and Black OPS II are on my lists. Are there any others I'm missing?

Need for Speed: Most Wanted U, Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate, and the port of Mass Effect 3 is actually not bad.

Sweet, thanks!

I think Nintendo is doing this with StarFox for Wii U. I hope they get a western developer that can produce great graphics like Mario Kart 8 and 3D World! But it's probably going to be another Japanese developer like StarFox Assault...

Again, scalable is different from ported, porting an engine is expensive, AFTER is ported reusing it becomes cheap but the initial investment has to be done.

"previous games of the series were not available for the console" is a risk assestment, if the audience is not there creating it will mean more risk for the initial investment. Bringing FF XV to the Wii U is not impossible, but is risky and not the obvios choice. Instead they could just do a remake of FF Chrystal Chronicles with online play (exclusive, known to Nintendo gamers, plot and engine already available on similar architecture).

This game is gonna bomb. I needed to be day and date because by now everyone knows the game is medicore. Many bought the game on launch day and pre-ordered it based on hype but then when the game actually got reviewed it was mediocre.

Pretty sure it's going to be Platinum games working on this one.

I think so too, but I'm not so sure. Although Bayonetta 2 does have a StarFox 64-esque level, Miyamoto annouced at E3 that they wanted someone to help them make StarFox for Wii U. If Platinum has already made a StarFox level in their game, why is Miyamoto still asking for another developer's help?

And I know Bayonetta 2 came out after E3, but I'm pretty sure that StarFox level took more than a couple of months to complete.
