Family Weekend. A random movie from Netflix I started expecting to quit within 10 minutes. Ended up being really fun amd funny.

Interestingly enough I estimated Chronicle about right. I saw some aspects of it that I thought were good and I got almost exactly what I was hoping for.

All just looked like run of the mill movies, offering nothing new, but I found each of them very entertaining, far better than trailers or reviews may have suggested.

By far the biggest surprise for me though was the movie Goon. That looked like an awful, awful comedy with Seann William Scot, but turned out to be quite funny.

At first before watching i thought cabin in the woods was just another horror alike thousend other movies in that genre but i really was amazed by how the plot evolves in something very unique and i was wowed by it.

One of the best movies I have ever seen. Watched it 3 times the first week I saw it.

Watching it the first time I didn't think too much about it either, but here I am several years later and now I think it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

Watch Hot Fuzz it will keep the good times rolling. At Worlds End is pretty good too.

I had forgotten that Mel Gibson and Antonio Banderas were real actors and there inclusion really made the movie for me.

Also! Cloud Atlas was really good! It's a tough movie to follow at times but it's just a really well done film. and on the flip side, did not enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy. It just felt like a few dozen jokes wrapped up just to be put in a movie. Oh, and the ending was just awful.

Watch The Gringo. A pretty darn good recent Mel Gibson flick. Very reminecent of Payback (earlier gibson movie). Also Cloud Atlas over Guardians :0. I didnt like the atlas.

OT. I try to go into movies without forming an opinion and going along with whatever the movie trys to do. Obviously sometimes cant do that plot, actors, opinions, ect.. but i try. Some movies i think are overlooked, underated, or just dont get the recognition they deserve. District 9, Elysium, Goon, The Gringo, Air America, About Time, What If, Pacific Rim, Hollywoodland, Four Brothers, Kick-Ass, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, Atonement, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Brick, The Fountain, Cloverfield, Disturbia, Smoking Aces, Running Scared, Bad Boys 2, Armageddon, plenty more.

How well does it compare to the original "Let The Right One In"? remakes are usually messed up but I hear good things about this one.

I haven't seen the original. But I gotta say this one is pretty well done. This is as good as remakes can go.

I was on Edge <_< aboutseeing this movie or not. Tom Cruise always puts me on the fence with his movies. I'm never really committed to see them but sometimes I walk away satisfied....that's what she said. :P

Silence of the Lambs. I actually despised this movie for the fact that my father would always quote "It puts the lotion on it's skin..." as a joke and when I was younger that always bothered me. I also saw only a few scenes and I thought the movie was going to be too gritty and disgusting. All stupid reasons to underestimate a movie, I know.

However, it's much smarter than I expected. Of course, it's highly praised by nearly everyone, but when you are younger that means nothing. Now it's one of my favorite movies.

Big Fish

Something about the trailers for the movie didn't interest me, a guy asked me to see it on a date and I turned that idea down, now one of my favorite movies.
