Not to rain on anyone's parade, but isn't this what they've been saying since the beginning?

I always find this kind of news from the big three to be a bit underwhelming, you never know what it actually is. I think 2014 will be hard to beat for the Wii U, in terms of impact at least, the combo of Mario Kart and Smash is quite massive and they are by far their biggest franchises.

To be honest they've been saying this since the N64 days if you go back even further, I remember they were promising more N64 games after they had finished the Mario 64 and Zelda: OoT engines.

It's kind of like when Iwata always says they need to focus on having a good flow of software after launch (said this before the 3DS and Wii U launches, lol) and then end up not delivering.

I know people are down on the idea of a Diddy Kong Racing 2 ... but I bet it would outsell a Metroid U. Probably fairly easily at that. So I wouldn't be shocked if Retro has been working on that.

As the Wii U doesnt sell well, Nintendo will have to rely on a bigger ratio of games per user to make more profit on the software, so it makes sense to put more ressources on the number of games, even on some small scale project like Hyrule Warrior and Captain Toad who will turn a profit without much trouble.

Good post buddy, at last somebody here gets it. Wii U is not going to set the world alight in hardware sales, but they have a great attach rate with its software. This tactic will help keep Nintendo profitable, i also expect one or two more remasters considering Windwaker sold over a million copies, and only took 6 months dev time.

Mushroom kingdom warriors confrimed??

Diddy Kong Racing 2?

It wouldn't be a very smart investment. MK8, with some DLC effort and its evergreen condition, is going to sell very well at full price for the years to come.

Sadly, I know :'( but a guy can dream, can't he?

Just wanted to say, best sig ever!

Thank you

More spinoffs? Right, because Hyrule Warriors and Captain Toad are big time console movers. After this season the only big console mover Nintendo has left is Zelda. That's extremely worrying.

yeah thats all we know about. Ever heard of pokemon and animal crossing? f zero? eternal darkness? plus any new IP's they announce. But yeah for now zelda is the only game i interested in and maybe xenoblade

We knew that already. There is Zelda, Star Fox, X, Yoshi, a lot of stuff...

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

More spin-offs? Meanwhile we're still waiting on SMTxFE.

That is a spin-off.
