There is just a little difference.

The industry and devs accepted and choose GAF but not the others sites.

Yeah we don't have nearly enough active users and a lot is contained in the Nations threads. I suppose we could try for some of the more highly popular games though and see how that goes.

This thread doesn't make much sense because we only talk about neogaf here once per month around npd, and because in many other places neogaf is pretty much very hated, like 4chans /v/.

I see Neogaf as a place for leftists to have 1000 post threads about if Toadette in Captain Toad is a damsel in distress and if Nintendo is indoctrinating little kids into the patriarchy.
It is also a place that loves to fall for the hype, and love shitstorms, and when something bad happens they descend like desperate vultures fighting to get the first bite on the corpse of the victim.

There are also many terrible threads here, but you can tell they will be awful from the title so I don't even click on them.
But our npd, famitsu/mediacreate and comg threads are a club of gentlemen in comparison to what you see in neogaf.

It's been said so many times here that the numbers should be taken to be within 15% of the exact number, that they have parts which are based on guesswork so there can be that amount out, Saying the ps4 was at 9million when it was infact at 10m is perfectly within what is offered by the numbers here.

All numbers here should have this kept in mind tho, and that is the only slip up that people make on this forum a lot of the time, if there is a week where the Xbox is above the ps4 by a few k you see people pointing out that it's most likely overtracked (which to be fair it happens frequently) but as soon as the numbers are shifted around and the Ps4 is ahead by a few hundred/thousand systems out of 100k+ people then think ps4 wins again o/ but since the numbers have a 10-15% inaccuracy with them that might not be the case at all, but when the numbers are in people favour they tend to forget that inaccuracy exists, makes for some shitty threads at times.

most people that hate gaf hate it because they got banned and cant deal.

It's cool to hate on them, because they're all of what the faithful users of these forums... Would like this site to be. It's the cool thing to do, such as hating on Nintendo.

I like both sites, but prefer this one because it's easier to follow up with threads... Though sometimes I feel my IQ dropping while reading so many ignorance, nasty comments, elitism, bias, amnesia when it's convenient, and overall hatred towards each other... And that's classy and smart compared to comment sections at YouTube and IGN.

Well I don't hate GAF but I consider their community a jungle like N4G. Too many aggressive animals that are on the prowl and ready to strike with their fanboy venom. lol!
