Why the fuck can't other publishers budget like this? Yes, i'm looking at you SE.
They'll make crazy profit off this just from the PS4 version.

Seems to me to be beetween 1,5 to 2 million.

I wonder if that's a commonly accepted lower bound for AAA games or if Ninja Theory is just making stuff up.

Looking strictly at the budget of 20 million, you'd need about 670,000 sold. Assuming 30 dollars per 60 dollar retail game goes to the publisher.

Depends, Naughty Dog pumped out all their Uncharteds with 20 million dollars budget. On the other spectrum, God of War 3 took 45 million to make, and that was 5 million under budget. Depends the time to create the games though. Naughty Dog took 2 years per Uncharted, God of War 3 took about 4 years to put together.

Well, the first Uncharted was released 7 years ago. Budgets have probably changed a lot in that time. And although having huge improvements, the sequels could build on the the basic frame established in the first game. Still, it's an interesting figure. I wouldn't have guessed that Uncharted would be "low-end" AAA.

It's all about managing people. You don't need 1000 (or 600?) people working on a game (Assassin's Creed).

Damn, very good mentality and I hope the game turns out great. Pretty sure I'll be buying it.
Loved Heavenly Sword (Although sad they never made another) and loved Enslaved.
Will be buying this, so now they only need 199,999-299,999 more.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Rare games, Turok, old Mortal Kombats, Musou games, virtually every non FF JRPG, puzzle games, beat em ups, etc. Back when games were just fun, dudebros got the f*ck out of the gaming, and marketing was at an all time low. We refer to this as the golden age of gaming. |
I dislike how you hate on dude Bros. This has nothing to do with them? You should be happy someone's a gamer not talking like that. So what if they like different genres. Does Itmatter? Bigger sales for the gaming industry
Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out
Ps4:110million
Xbox one :75 million( was 65)
Wii u: 20 milliion
