I'm looking and I say FFX/2 HD having sold more than the latest release (Lightning Returns). That's not even a proper remake and of one that usually seems to divide opinion as well.

Sure lets compare it to a sequel of a sequel to a highly unpopular game -_-

Is FF XV not also a sequel to that highly unpopular game? What if XV also proves to be highly unpopular?

-_-

This is where I stop our conversation

Pokemon ORAS looks ugly for todays standards, look how far ahead Digimon is on Vita.

Pokemon should be looking more like this

Wow, gotta be honest, that looks light years beyond Pokemon. Maybe Pokemon on Fusion can look similar to that.

People shoukd give the devs some time. They only made 2 3D games so far. X/Y's engine is pretty shitty and since ORAS is just a bunch of ports making a new engine simply for those games would be a waste of ressources. X/Y already have a somewhat working 3D engine.... even if its crappy in terms of framerate and has lacking 3D support. (but its a turn based game so in theory it could run with 5fps and it would not make a difference during the battles)

Btw not really a remake but a Remaster  but Halo1 Anniversary is awesome. The "press select to see vintage look" mode is pretty awesome. Every single remaster/remake should have something similar

Thing is.. Nintendo dont advertise these as remakes. They want you to think its all new games. Not only that but you pay full price for it instead of them being in an HD bundle that even so is 10 dollars off. If anything i find it lazy because they are not paying homage to the old games, but rather it is the same product with a new coat of paint, which isnt bad perse, but disguising it as a new entry to the series is just not nice. Bad nintendo. Thats a bad nintendo.

Oh boy, what a preposterous idea. Do some research FFS.

Well aren't they the only ones making remakes? Sony and microsoft make new games

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Wow that looks sleak!  Too bad its digimon :/.  But yeah.  Nintendo,  go 3rd party fast so we can have this kind of pokemon.  Or at the very least,  make a wii u version in 3d open world

While I think there are a good few others that are good at making remakes, Nintendo definitely does a good job at it.

The counter for this one is too easy.  One could just easily say that Sony and Microsoft don't have any games good enough to remake.  However, I'm sure we all know that Sony and Microsoft do remakes/remasters/ports (The Last of Us for Sony, Halo for Microsoft).

Pokémon remakes aren't made by Nintendo though.

Give this man a medal!

Lube Me Up

Not the only developer/publisher to make a good remake (Halo Anniversary, Resident Evil remake) but they tend to be very consistent at releasing high quality remakes for their games.
