I'll believe it when Digital Foundry confirms it.

We've gone through this same thing many times in the past when some Nintendo exec mistakenly said Mario 3D World and Mario Kart 8 were 1080p, thinking that upscaled 1080p is the same as native 1080p.

They confirmed that a while ago if I'm not mistaken.. Good news nonetheless!

I picked the 3rd OMG! listed in your poll because I felt that it was the best option that describes my feelings on this matter and no other option could rectify that feeling of which I am currently feeling.

8 players is completely irrelevant. They are all on the same screen, so there is barely any additional power needed. Other games have 16 or 32 players in the game (and sometimes a lot of them on the same screen).
If it was split screen, then that would be something special.

Definitely good news but not omg. The game looks pretty from an art perspective as is the norm a ninty title (not splatoon!) but otherwise the quality of visuals really aren't impressive unlike MK8. Character models look quite decent, everything else looks like its from 2008 though

It better be, seeing there is absolutely nothing to it graphically.

Not to burst anyone´s bubble but the game is not very heavy on the gpu, it is pretty cpu intense but it defenitly does not say the WII U is super powerful al the sudden. Still a nice achievement though, windwaker hd was aslo 1080p-60 if I remember correct.

Why does that matter? From a technical standpoint it doesn't make a big difference, that's all.
