So license agreements do actually contain real words that people read? I thought they were just black scribbles.

TBH its okay etc.
BUT! should it not be against the law that people change the terms etc?
I bought the console while the original terms were valid. They cannot force me to agree to new terms and making the console useless (not being able to play newer games) if I dont agree. Not being able to play newer games when declining new terms was NEVER part of the original contract. So its pretty much illegal.
People that buy a WiiU with the new terms should accept those, people that bought the device before those new terms were created should not be forced to accept them.
Also everyone that blocks hardware because someone did some modifications can also get in trouble. Its not my job to supervise who is playing with my WiiU when there is more than me in my family. You can block someones ID but rendering the hardware useless is also pretty much illegal. And at least in Europe it does not matter at all if you agree to terms when those terms are against the law to begin with. LAW>TERMS anytime.
Also as soon as you have to scroll down to accept terms they are useless since you can accidently skip a line of text because the hardware fucks up (mouse etc) or the coding of the "terms box" etc.
And since I get no copy at all of what I actually "signed" terms can also be pretty irrelevant because the guy in charge of the website can change the terms 1 billion times a day without people noticing.
We need smart people to fix this terms&conditions mess as soon as possible.

You signed a TOU agreement, Nintendo can do whatever the hell they want.

Really now, this is what people are getting all pissed off about?
Just factory reset your console, disable online, and poof, no need to agree.
The point is to end hacking on the console. We know from the Wii, PS3, and 360 what happens when someone learns to homebrew a console and pirate games/hack the network.

Lol, I can't believe people are getting upset about this...

Why isn't anyone else doing it, if it's "fair"?

Maybe they will do it eventually.
As far as I remember this isn't new. Can't remember if this has been a part of the Wii U's licence agreement before but it has been a part of the 3DS licence agreement for a while.
And there's no way they would actually do it anyway.

Nintendo is not known to be a leader when it comes to Online gaming. So i'm not sure why others would look up to them in something anti consumer like this..
