She's not the main character though, and she is in fact tortured by Bayonetta.

Read the edit.

Abuse is not empowerment.

She tortures all her enemies. It would be a double standard not to do the same to female enemies. Empowerment is a key element of S&M.

The empowerment in S&M comes from the mutual agreement of the submissive party willingly handing over their power and control to the one that will be controlling them - specifically, the one in control is willingly given in essence, the fate of the submissive partys wellbeing.
Abusive S&M is not empowerment of the abuser, it is removal of the power of the victim.

There is a difference, regardless of if you comprehend it.

You keep degrading Bayonetta's open sexuality as not "decent". There's nothing indecent about sexuality.

Maybe you should read back then? No one said sex is indecent, you are trying to act as if i did. I'm saying the way Beyonetta depicts it is indecent.

Then, I dunno, maybe don't play M-rated games?

Do you comprehend that there is a difference between real violence and stylised video game violence?

That when video games show decapitations, knifings, and in this case torture, that it is fantasy?

Now you're strawmanning, I'm debating the use of "empowerment" over "abuse" not the differences between real life violence and video game violence.

But to answer you regardless, If you kill someone in a game, your character is still comitting murder, you're just not culpable because it's contained virtually.
Real world definitions don't cease to exist because of the jump from real to virtual, the repreocussions do.

I truly feel sorry for you if you feel like you commit murder every time you pop a baddie in a video game.

Again you're failing to comprehend the convosation.

By definition, the character is committing murder.
Are you actually committig a real murder?, no. Are you enacting one virtually? Yes.

It isn't rocket science.

I didn't, but you can assume that if it makes you happy. Expressing yourself sexually is not the same as behaving as a prostitute. But why would you understand, are you a woman? lol

I just have to say that your comment actively disgust me as you equate being comfortable with your sexuality and body with prostitution.

You should be disgusted with your attitude first. Being comfortable with your body and not ashamed of your sexuallity has nothing to do with showing people your private parts. Leave it men who fantasize about women in different positions to tell you how women want to be seen.

It is not a matter of her showing them, rather, its the rest of society that has a culture of shame that in no way works with the style of the character Bayonetta.

And you would also do well to stop thinking about women as though they are not as individualistic as we men are. Some women may view being sexual as more of a private thing and others don't, just like how men have different opinions.

I won't on the other hand deride women for being prude's for dressing consevatively and I believe calling women, or men, who don't share societal norms for feeling ashamed and embarrassed about their body, prostitutes, is disgusting.

Except "murder" in real life is a serious matter. In a video game, not necessarily. There's nothing serious about Mario squashing a Goomba.

It's not like what you say can be traced back or even surprises me. Anyways, your mind set, isn't it? An attitude like that makes it impossible for you to consider anything else. Let's hear a woman on the subject now.

As if you were ever open to any opinion that doesn't align with yours...

Of course i was/am. After all i'd like to shake up this perserved heterosexual society we live in, but everything with decensy in mind. Nothing is gained by going vulgar.

What is vulgar to some people is an expression of freedom and liberation to others.

What is considered vulgar by society has been an ever shrinking number of things and will continue to do so.

In this case you, the minority, find to game to be to vulgar, while the majority of us enjoy the game's style, and changing the style to be more conservative would have harmed the game's appeal overall.

Not exclusive to women. Sexism is disgusting indeed and thinking things like only applies to them means you haven't considered women's feelings.
