Other thing to remember are the so called cultural differences. Japan obviously views women differently than the west, so what right does the reviewer have to complain? Isn't that putting down an entire culture?

If this game wasn't made by a Japanese company, I don't think we'd see half the backlash.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

I just don't get it.. .What's the matter if the Witch likes to show that she is Sexy and she Know it.

When it's Duke Nukem doing his Macho Quotes everyone finds it's Cool.

She is not portrayed as some dumb chick with an Ass, She is smart femme fatale doing her stuff, not unlike the Highly Praised Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman, or all Catwomen.

The game is sexy, but Bayonetta herself isnt portrayed in a sexist way.

Kamiya no doubt likes the ladies, like all fine upstanding gents do (lol) and wanted a sexy character with some fanservice (like lots of Japanese media has).

BUT never once is Bayonetta shown to be physically/emotionally/mentally weak. She doesnt rely on men to help her. She doesnt want the 'D', especially for money. AND she frigging kills enemies in a very sadistic way! I dont see how that is sexist.

Exactly...

If I was a Woman as hot, strong willed, and smart as Bayonetta. I would just do like her, mock on Men.

Then why is Polygon not complaining about the nude titties in God of War and the redundant sex mini-games? In Bayonetta it actually adds something to her character: she's confident and proud to be a sexy lady. Women IRL should also be like that. It makes them even more sexy.

I've never inderstood this viewpoint. Why is it not okay to criticize aspects of other cultures? People give Americans shit for being "prudish" all the time.

To the OP...I agree. I usually get annoyed when videogames have female warriors running around in ridiculously revealing clothes for no explored reason, but i take no issue with the way Bayonetta handles it.

That's fine. I don't put my whole weight behind that statement. What they wrote and made stand out is abhorrently stupid whether talking about a Japanese game or a western one.

At any rate, SJW crap has no place in a professional game review.

Probably because they were released long before the whole Feminist internet movements.

Honestly, I never cared for those stupid sex mini games in God of War BUT I also didnt think it warrented sexist debates.

Not trying to say that male society simply sees nothing wrong with it, rather people make big problems out of small instances.

Of course it's a sexist game. A kick ass sexist game, but still a sexist game. It's unfortunate that such a high quality title needs to rely on sexism to get attantion.
I've taken a stand. I won't buy the game because of what it represents. Too many of my female friends have suffered because of sexism. It's my loss as a gamer, but a loss I'm willing to take.
