Still too expensive for me (I live in Sweden), same goes for the other two. I've never paid more than 2500NOK for a console. I'm waiting for more software, more firmware updates, all the promised features and lower prices! I use my PC for practically all my gaming anyway, so it's not like I don't have anything to play while I wait.

Similar problem here, official price is 488 U$, but importing it directly from USA is only 360 U$, expensive but not so much. I have not buyed any console for more than 250 U$ (USA price), but that is WITHOUT any games, since the 300 U$ Wii U bundles do include a game (and I got the WW HD one) I made the math and it was 50 for the game and 250 for the console, so I went for it.

Also I do require at least 3 titles that interest me, already on the market and WW HD was also the tipping point

Yeah, I never understood how anyone can purchase a console for several hundred dollars for one title. I think the earliest purchase I ever made was the PS2; I got that about two years after it released.

It's almost 2 years now since I bought my Wii U and I really regretted my decision in the first year. The whole Console was a mess. Not even the lack of Games, even the System was slow and without interestings Features. A year later, with exklusive Software and Firmware Updates, the only bad remnant from the Launch is the Power of the Gamepad. I really enjoy my Wii U since the beginning of this year (played through the Hyrule Warriors Campaign a few days ago). There are currently 10 Games in my collection, with The Wonderful 101 I only played an hour (it's about time to play it properly).

Can't wait for Bayonetta 2. I want it even more after I played the Demo. And I hope Smash Bros. for the Wii U will make a great closing Title for the Wii U in 2014. The System have many exklusives to offer. One of the reasons I still ignore the Playstation 4, almost one year after the Launch.

Be aware: English is not my native language. The Internetz is the only place I'm partly speaking this smooth language. And because my Signature is so boring, feel free to insert a lame Boob-Joke here: [Insert lame Boob-Joke here]

Warning: Nintendo and Übel Blatt Fangirl alert

Maybe, I'm not yet seeing anything essential. I don't want to get one if the only thing I'd play is Smash Bros.
We'll see.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Already own one, second-hand. And I do only because of Bayonetta 2 and Xenoblade.

Holy cow...I'm definitely going to have to agree with Rol. There's some voter manipulation going on up there.

But I stand by the idea that the first option was used to weed people out of the equation. The real answers I was concerned about were the vehement "no" responses, and to gauge how interested the interested people were. I think overall it was a success. I think it shows that still post-E3 2014 Nintendo is holding onto some of that momentum it gained.

Some people will want to use this poll as proof of the bias on this site, but I think we've seen through several polls that the fanbase between Sony and Nintendo is pretty evenly split. Microsoft, on the other hand, could use some support.

I can't really agree, at all. The thread has over 120 comments and about 850 votes which seems legit. Also if you read all the comments as I just did, you'll see that the majority of them (by far) are pro-nintendo. I think it has to do with it being in the Nintendo discussion, as mentioned earlier.

Anyway... I got mine in november 2012, been using it for around 200 hrs/month and it is the best system I have ever owned. (Previous systems: SNES, N64, GCN, PS2, PS3, Wii, GBC, GBA)

I get why people don't buy it, since it's become a thing to bash it for no actual reason. "No games" or "underpowered" is probably the most used arguments to get people to be convinced that it's a bad system. Neither of those are actually true. The system isn't underpowered, it runs all first party games great and most of the 3rd parties too. Minecraft is probably the most recent game on the market to prove that graphics doesn't really matter to the casuals, sadly the Wii U library never got blessed with it.

I have, as I said, been playing around 200 hours/month (including some browsing and netflixing) since I got the system and I still have a TON of games to complete. I still haven't finished the story on Assassin's Creed IV, MH3U, Rayman Legends, Earthbound, Super Mario 3d world, CoD BLOPS II and some VC games. The "no games" argument simply doesn't work anymore.
