Got mine at launch. Use it for something or another every day.  I admit, it's usually porn.  Just yesterday, I jumped from Hyrule Warriors to Black Ops II to Mario Kart.  Now that I'm not obssessed with always playing the new "big" thing, I find myself really enjoying games.  The Wii U has them.

I bought mine two months after the official release. And I don´t regret it in any way.
I´m still having a lot of fun with it, specially with my friends and some family members who do like gaming.

I can´t afford to follow more than two consoles right now ( I already have a 3DS). I´d definetely get a PS4, but gaming is extremely expensive in my country and the economic situation here is problematic, so I decided to just play Nintendo and PC this generation. After all, my nephews have Xbox360s and PS3s, and a good close friend has a XboxOne, so I´ll have plenty of opportunities to try other games when playing with them.

Some people claim that I should definetely sell it and get the PS4 because of its future lineup and for its ever growing gaming community, but I really don´t care much about its games right now, to be frank. I´m not a fan of Fps and I hate soccer games, I use home consoles mainly for multiplayer games and a PC/portable for playing alone. I´m having enough fun with the WiiU and that´s all that matters.

I honestly feel bad for those without it and those dumb enough to sell it.

Oh you feel bad??? thats mean you willing to give me some money to buy one LOl. For people who sell it. maybe they have another reason to sell it and not all people satisfied with what Wii u offer. Just be positive and respect other people choice.

That's not how english works, but if I had the money I'd give the poor unfortunate masses the chance to enjoy it I would.

Nintendo has a decent spread of game types, a large library of downright great games, and some of the system's biggest releases yet to come.

Metroid, next single player Mario like Galaxy, Zelda Wii U, Star Fox U, SMTxFE, and Xenoblade Chronicles X give the Wii U an impressive line up for the upcoming year or two. Not to mention this holiday season.

I want one badly but I can't afford it. So my plan is to get it before the end of 2015. Hopefully my sister bites in december/november for smash wii U so I wont have to cause my main priority is getting enough money for a new 3ds in 2015.

(also if I'm lucky I'll be affording 3 3ds games this year)

For me it depends. If more games start going to Pc, such as FF15, Type-0, and some more jrpgs, then I can see myself buying a Wii U as my next gen console. Xenoblade, Smash U, Bayonetta 2 and Zelda U all look amazing to me. But at the moment I place Persona 5, Ys Ps4, and other exclusives like Bloodborne and Uncharted 4 above them:(

Waiting for prices to go down, both for hardware and software; I'll have two generations of Nintendo games to catch up on since I never owned a Wii!

Keep waiting for the software price drop and you wont own a Wii U ever. Nintendo software prices don't decrease and if they do its the start of the next gen.

Seems like an excellent console but I will never buy one. Just not into Nintendo first party games. They are obviously of a high caliber but unfortunately they are not my thing. The two biggest releases this year are a good example with Mario Kart and Smash Bros. I do not like racing or fighting games on any level. I haven't owned Nintendo hardware since the GameCube.

Not a console made with me in mind and that is okay. From what I have seen from its' fans they are perfectly happy with it which is all that matters.

As a fan of gaming in general I do hope the sales improve, though. It seems like it is really struggling and I hate to see that. I knew it would never do Wii numbers but certainly thought it would perform better than it has. Hopefully its' fortunes will turn around soon.

What an excellent post, although its not for you, its nice to see you want the console and Nintendo to succeed. Im a massive Wii U fan, wont be buying a PS4/XB1, but nice to see them doing good and keeping the industry healthy :)

Thank you. I appreciate that. I think someone thought I was giving a backhanded compliment or something so it is nice to see what I said came across as genuine to a Nintendo fan. I do not go for the vitriol that comes from the console wars. In my time with gaming I have owned most of the major consoles at one time or another. Hell, "Eternal Darkness" is one of my top five games of all time (why are they not doing anything with this IP? It boggles my mind. Is there something I am missing?). I am mostly a multiplat guy but when an exclusive comes out it seems to be produced by Sony so that is who I go with but it certainly does not mean I do not respect the other console makers and what they try to achieve. Nintendo offers a unique experience vs. the competition and that is desperately needed in gaming. I absolutely want them to do well. :)

I see it as a complementary Console, not a main console, so I might if they are really cheap or I have a lot of extra cash, mainly because, mediocre online, and very few games, but would buy it because nintendo games are good, veeery good.
