Because even if they could do it, it wouldnt be on the WiiU...
Saying the WiiU is not powerful enough is just rubbing it in peoples faces.

WiiU is next/current gen enough in my book. It's exclusives are completely on par with modern developments that don't have to deal with a heavy CPU load ie those which just make games more expensive to make and not more fun. And it's games are the prettiest you can find despite the inferior specs. Stop with this last gen nonsense. I don't remember people calling the Wii last gen.

You're joking, aren't you? You don't remember people laughing Wii is just two Gamecubes duck-taped together? I know people stopped laughing at Wii when it died and it was already long, long ago, but let's be serious here. Many people (both gamers and developers) were considering Wii previous-gen, just like they are considering Wii U previous gen now. Probably even more were doing it back then, since now most people don't care about the Wii U enough to even laugh at it. And let's face it - there are reasons to justify such views. Both systems were/are painfully outdated.
I think what Ubi said is ok and perfectly true. I know it's painful for Nintendo fans, but we have to face the music. The Wii U environment as a whole is shitty in comparison to the competition. The console is outdated, it has a different architecture, it's not selling and games aren't selling either. It can't run current gen games the way they are designed to play and on top of it, it doesn't print money. It has absolutely nothing going for it. There is no reason for 3rd parties to keep on wasting money on Wii U. It's just a bad product. I though so the moment I saw its unveiling, but even I didn't expect it to fail this hard.
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/
My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

Then you didn't spend much time on IGN, Neogaf, Gamespot, Gamefaqs, etc last gen. :P
Seriously though, the idea that generations are defined by large graphical leaps is an obsolete concept, it died a decade ago with the Wii/PS360 and DS/PSP.
Wii U is closer to PS3/360 than PS4/Xbone in terms of raw graphical horsepower, (though it is still stronger than PS3/360, just as Wii was stronger than the 6th gen systems) but that doesn't make it last gen.
Wii was the successor to the 6th gen Gamecube, therefore it's 7th gen. Wii U is the successor to the 7th gen Wii, therefore it is 8th gen.

Parity. Unity isn't coming so they feel it'd be wrong to release Rogue.

but they cant and we all know that. So it dont really matter.
and really rubbing it in? If people want to take it personally then thats on them. I feel bad for them

Yeah, Im sure you would be fine with Nintendo saying: "We cant really put this game on the PS4 because it was made with the WiiU in mind" every time they released a WiiU game.
We know the reason why. We dont need to be told that we cant have it twice...
It was always obvious that AC Unity is something that would be physically unachievable on Wii U.
However, AC Rogue could run on Wii U, so that's the question they should be answering. No doubt, the issue for AC Rogue is that third-party games don't sell well enough on Wii U.

that makes no sense. since Ninty isnt 3rd party so I guess i would be fine. I dont get emotionally attached to these kinds of things.
But fair enough. The guy was asked a question so he answered it wasnt a wrong answer, even though it might not have been the main answer.
