The likes of Pushmo and Shovel Knight are no substitute for games like Mario Kart, Bayonetta, Xenoblade, etc.

And yeah, pretty much everything at e3 being labelled "coming 2015" was the main sour point of an otherwise amazing showing.

Shovel Knight and Pushmo are fleshed out games for their price tag, and while I agree that individually they are nothing, I consider eShop titles to work off the idea of the whole greater than the sum. But I'm just being the voice of reason here: 2015 has been known since E3. The only change is that they seemingly moved (or delayed for valid reasons) Toad out of the holiday onslaught.

That said, I looked over EAD's development and both Tokyo groups are lacking in titles. EADT2 is working on the next Mario, but EADT1 (which has been in charge of a lot of the remasters and remakes) has been completely silent since 2013, this is likely going to be the source of the 2015 remaster... and they made Mario Galaxy, so 1+1=Galaxy.

I bet that, like this year, and 2013, a lot of the games we now have pencilled in as "2015" will be delayed to 2016, and once again we'll have droughts.

Nintendo seem incapable of meeting deadlines any more.

Nintendo hasn't done HD before, their unpreparedness is obvious and the affect is enduring as the delay of one title delays the next etc. So far the only titles they've actually wilfully delayed (as far as we know concretelly) were DK:TF to fill the gap, and Bayonetta 2 to not release in the summer.

The more interesting thing to watch is how studios that has already handled HD, handle their next title. EADT2 is already shapping up to a be doing much better after their hurdle, with a solid release schedule already done to nearly done and already working on the next Mario title.

Wilful or not, they also delayed Pikmin 3, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Wonderful 101, Wii Fit U, and Wii Party U.

I'd like to believe that they've gotten the hang of HD now and so the delays will stop, but the last two years have eroded my faith in their ability to deliver games on time.

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

:P

Splatoon is Q1,do I don't think that Captain Toad will be delayed

Are you serious? This isn't even a major release and they can't even get it right.

Well I highly doubt they'd need more time for a game like Captain Toad, so the only reason to delay it would be for a q1 release.

I'm doubting that 2015 is barren for Ninty, honestly. We know a lot already and it's likely only half the games coming out from them.

Not all the games curently slated for 2015 will arrive then, though. We can pretty much count on that.

There goes some peeps expectations for a release every month.

Those expectations were never realistic. This is post-2010 Nintendo we're talking about. They're addicted to delays.

If this turns out to be true, it'll be the 7th first party Wii U game to be delayed in less than two years.

Was let down with the CT delay for PALs, and that Yoshi missed 2014...
I think it's mostly due to the Smash delay, just wanting to kickstart amiibos and continue later with the other compatible games

Smash is the first game that fully launches the figurines, so they might want to concentrate on that,
And later on add Captain Toad release and compatibility, add mk8 amiibos with dlc2 update, and last yoshi wooly amiibos.
Better not realease all these amiibo compatible games together, and try to strech them out
