I bet that, like this year, and 2013, a lot of the games we now have pencilled in as "2015" will be delayed to 2016, and once again we'll have droughts.

Nintendo seem incapable of meeting deadlines any more.

Nintendo hasn't done HD before, their unpreparedness is obvious and the affect is enduring as the delay of one title delays the next etc. So far the only titles they've actually wilfully delayed (as far as we know concretelly) were DK:TF to fill the gap, and Bayonetta 2 to not release in the summer.

The more interesting thing to watch is how studios that has already handled HD, handle their next title. EADT2 is already shapping up to a be doing much better after their hurdle, with a solid release schedule already done to nearly done and already working on the next Mario title.

Wilful or not, they also delayed Pikmin 3, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Wonderful 101, Wii Fit U, and Wii Party U.

I'd like to believe that they've gotten the hang of HD now and so the delays will stop, but the last two years have eroded my faith in their ability to deliver games on time.
