So by giving you a chance to think in advance is " helping you". While putting all of your attention in repeatedly pressing a button is "more thinking"?

Dynasty Warriors is the most complicated game ever confirmed

Give me a break

Hey, it's your words, not mine. Dynasty Warriors isn't very complicated, but it sounds more complicated than this system. :P

Complicated =/= good.  Depth = good.

Let's look at it this way. For whatever reason, you like this change. I don't. You'll probably get the game and like it. I might get the game if I hear the story is good, but the battle system will not draw me in. I really don't have the time or motivation to argue it further, as I have a class to get to.

Then exchange those words, I'd still say the same thing.

A bit disappointing that Noctis is the only playable character.

is it offical ?

*sigh*

Damn it, SE.  HT has repeated this a few times over now I believe in articles.  I was hoping this was a misunderstanding in control.

Ok I was looking foward to this game now I am very worried. This doesn't look like a FF game at all.

Why do people say this?

Doesn't every Final Fantasy do something a little different?

And so far this game is looking fantastic. Sort of sucks you can only play as Noctis but I can manage. It's reassuring to know you can play like the E3 2013 demo.

I understand that you don't like the change, but your reasoning is just wrong. There is no more thinking involved in repeatedly pressing a button. I can understand if you think it is more satisfying. You really just got it reversed.

Enjoy your class.

You're saying FF is dead because of one aspect of the game. The company has been progressively working on a shift to real time since FF XII. You want to play FF VI, it's already out. The other aspects of FF XV might be the most "Final Fantasy" the series has been in quite some time, who knows? I understand that some people like to have a meal in between the actions they take during a battle. To each their own. That doesn't make XV any less of a Final Fantasy game just because some of you are stuck to their pre-conceptions of the series. If the series was still stuck with the same ATB system it had in IV, I'd have gotten bored of the series a while ago. One of the things that make FF games what they are is the way they shake things up with every titles. FF XV is no exception.

Firstly I hope Square enix are paying you well.

Secondly you contradict yourself, one minute acknowledging that the franchise has managed to switch things up every entry despite remaining turn based in the past, the next minute suggesting that it needs to be an action RPG in order for it to feel new. Obviously you don't need to change genre in order to freshen things up.

Also I never said Final Fantasy is dead, I said Final Fantasy of the tradition is dead. Just as 2D metroid or side scrolling Zelda is dead.

What a typically shallow reply. No substance, just pointing the finger. Signs that you have nothing of value to provide.

I never said it needed to be real-time. I said they've been working on a transition to real-time for some time now.   It doesn't necessarily need that aspect to feel new. But as I said, the series attempts to shake things up with every title. This time around, they do it by going real-time. It's still a JRPG. Not turn based, but so was XII. And that one was pretty much a Final Fantasy game.

I also said that the "traditional FF game" isn't only made of a battle system. Things like a world map, controllable airships, chocobos, Cid, summons, etc... are all aspects of what constitutes a FF game. They can remove or tweak some of those aspects, but that won't necessarily make the game something other than a Final Fantasy game.

Now I get that some may prefer turn-based battle systems over real-time ones. At the same time, at this point in time, if people are still complaining that the Final Fantasy games aren't like what they were 10 years ago, they definitely should try catching up to the present time.

As for your stupid jab, of course, because I think FF XV is definitely a Final Fantasy game and the series isn't dead, S-E must be paying me. ¬_¬

Yes, a little different. Not entire restructure of the main gameplay mechanics that defined the series. Many already have accepted (like myself) that this is Kingdom Hearts Final Fantasy Edition but that doesn't mean we want FF to stay that way because we liked the mechanics it had before.

Hmm, pie.

I have been playing FF since Nintendo. FF is my fave series ever. I played and replayed and maybe replayed every main FF execpt FF XIII-2 (no replay value for me). I have bought every main FF except Ligthning returns and the online's one. Look at the sales of FF XIII to FF XIII-2 to lightning returns... They are loosing fans and I am one of them. This game looks like dirge of cerberus, and I played the game and enjoyed it cause I know it was a different type of FF. game.

When you push the attack button, you invoke the standard combo. You can change the actions by using it in coordination with the directional buttons. The actions change depending on your circumstances—things like whether you're guarding and whether the timing is right, (imagine in this circumstance: when you're guarding, you might get a chance to counterattack or something), or if your companions are nearby.

Very interesting.
