Someone's in defence mode it seems -_-

If we were talking about an evolution you sentence would have some validility, but we're talking a huge change in the composition of gameplay almost a genre shift. Its completely understandable that some people may dislike that. Regarding your last comment every single mainline Final Fantasy up until this has been turn based so it would actually be safe to say Final Fantasy is (or at least was) about that.

If you're keen the new direction thats fine, but don't try and make other people sound like trolls when they're being quite reasonable.

You're saying FF is dead because of one aspect of the game. The company has been progressively working on a shift to real time since FF XII. You want to play FF VI, it's already out. The other aspects of FF XV might be the most "Final Fantasy" the series has been in quite some time, who knows? I understand that some people like to have a meal in between the actions they take during a battle. To each their own. That doesn't make XV any less of a Final Fantasy game just because some of you are stuck to their pre-conceptions of the series. If the series was still stuck with the same ATB system it had in IV, I'd have gotten bored of the series a while ago. One of the things that make FF games what they are is the way they shake things up with every titles. FF XV is no exception.

Good grief, when they said one button, they didn't just mean you do things with one button, they literally meant one button press! Seriously? Hold the button to attack? You don't even have to press it multiple times for a combo, you just hold it and he does his thing? This battle system sounds like it's going to make Kingdom Hearts look complicated. Sigh, I just hope the story is good this time.

Tapping a button is not more complicated then holding it. In either case you have the same control (whether to continue or stop) :)

I disagree. You have to think more when you have to press multiple times. If you disagree, fine, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Either way, it's definitely less satisfying to me to just hold down the button.

Think more?

Anyways, I think holding the button meant to assist you to think in advance, you have a command menu to mange, it also gives you time to aim to the point where you can immediately warp to as you are finishing the combo. "- The attack button is used for basic combos, weapons used are context driven based on equipped weapons and context settings the player selects."

Tapping the button would probably work too, but be careful not to over-think it

Firstly I hope Square enix are paying you well.

Secondly you contradict yourself, one minute acknowledging that the franchise has managed to switch things up every entry despite remaining turn based in the past, the next minute suggesting that it needs to be an action RPG in order for it to feel new. Obviously you don't need to change genre in order to freshen things up.

Also I never said Final Fantasy is dead, I said Final Fantasy of the tradition is dead. Just as 2D metroid or side scrolling Zelda is dead.

Exactly. Word it how you like, but "assisting you to think in advance" is still helping you with something that you wouldn't otherwise have help with. Like I said, you have to think more with multiple button presses.

So by giving you a chance to think in advance is " helping you". While putting all of your attention in repeatedly pressing a button is "more thinking"?

Dynasty Warriors is the most complicated game ever confirmed

Give me a break

Hey, it's your words, not mine. Dynasty Warriors isn't very complicated, but it sounds more complicated than this system. :P

Ok I was looking foward to this game now I am very worried. This doesn't look like a FF game at all.

Complicated =/= good.  Depth = good.

Let's look at it this way. For whatever reason, you like this change. I don't. You'll probably get the game and like it. I might get the game if I hear the story is good, but the battle system will not draw me in. I really don't have the time or motivation to argue it further, as I have a class to get to.

Then exchange those words, I'd still say the same thing.
