Forums - Gaming - PES 2015: 1080p/60fps on PS4, 720p/60fps on Xbox One & PS3

Judging by the unbiased video of the entire barcelona team comparison, only Neymar, Suarez and Messi looked better on PES.

Generation ahead you mean...

FIFA can play and be a better football game (and that is changing) but says FIFA looks better is a high level of bias lol

The diffefene in gaphics between the two games this year is water to wine.

If it's the same as the demo, and I assume it is, it doesn't look that graphics intensive, should be able to run in 1080p/60 on the Xbone with some effort.

No. if the game is optimized for PS4 (like MGS5 was), then it should run easily at 900p given the 40% GPU Tlops gap between 2 consoles, if if ran at 1080p on XB1 we would have the Diablo 3 XB1 situation, the game hovers during long levels at ~50fps wehn PS4 is solid locked at 60fps. Recent exemple of multplat optimized game is Metro Redux (the devs are known to be really good at console development), 1080p PS4 and 912p on XB1 both games solid 60fps locked, ~40% pixel difference which is almost exactly the Tflops difference of both GPUs.

But 720p is really low, they really could have optimized their buffers to increase the resolution. Here the real problem is the framebuffer (I think they may use some temporal AA which is fast ram (esram) hungry) that must be big, too big for 32MB esram fast ram.

Lazy devs.

Because this game is so advanced that the poor xbox one can't handle it when fifa is miles above it and it's 1080p and 60fps on both.Konami at it's best.Did they already spend the check Sony gave them?

No man, it's not.

PES 2014 on PS3/X360 already looked next gen compared to FIFA 14 on PS4/Xbone.

Very poor programming. Fifa 15 looks vastly superior and is the same on both next gen consoles . Still at least its just sharpness and not framerate.

Not sure if you are joking because FIFA looks like a PS360 game on PS4/Xbone.

Ive played both in person. So I dont really know what internet screenies and vids are gonna do. Sorry.

Fifa 15 had more complex animations, better lighting, better dyamic contrast and more environmet detail. Thats what I saw. On really good TV's.

That, depending on the engine, may be completly wrong. Depending of what resource is a bottleneck, performance difference may not scale lineary and this is popular situation.  So they may use rendering pipeline that simply coudn't do better on XO. Problems with RAM is one example.

TheAdjustmentBurea  - that's funny, I have exact opposite impression. Fifa is better overall, but PES graphics is miles better than FIFA.

Go on youtube and watch the entire real madrid team and barcelona team head comparisons. PES does not look better with the exception of a few players. Nothing is changing either, besides slide tackles and the inclusion of the brazilian league Fifa beats PES in absolutely every department .

Oh, come on. 720p? This shouldn't be 720p on XOne..

looks like Konami didn't bother.

PES 2015 doesn't look better than FIFA 2015. They are pretty much identical. Even some cherry picked faces won't make a 720p to 1080p performance difference.

Ive got no skin in the game for either XB1 or PS4,

So Im saying this out of pure speculation:

I remember before this gen started, developers were saying

that 1080p would not be a garanteed resolution.

So, considering that third parties are open for $$$

regarding exclusive content, launch dates, marketing, etc.

who is to say that resolution and framerate could also be something

they are asking console makers to pay for?

Maybe when it comes to the third parties, anything about their

games is for sale.
