Because of this... I hope Bayonetta 2 is a 3-4 million seller. Huge longshot I know, but the QQing by those people would be so Epically amusing!!

One could only wish. Honestly though, I hope it at least breaks even or comes close to it.

Nintendo knew when they snagged Bayo 2 that it was not a software sales goldmine.
They did it to diversify their library by offering a kind of game they can't make themselves.

yeah this 100% it was to try to please those people who always claim that Nintendo doesn't make or want to have games like this, knowing that the game was facing cancellation they tried to make those people happy by saving the game and putting it on a Nintendo machine... but most of them lashed out with stuff like "I can't believe Nintendo money hatted this series onto their console that I wouldn't buy even if it had games I wanted to play" which was a pretty sad result to Nintendo and Platinums combined efforts imo.

I think it was a bold move, but they can't just stop at "Oh, we are not a kiddie console. we have Bayonetta". They have to continue getting M rated titles to get a more diverse lineup of of games to attract all types of gamers, not just the typical people that buy Nintendo products.
As for the people who say this game is not a system seller, I disagree to a certain extent. I mean, Bayonetta is not your typical Nintendo game that Fanboys usually buy a console for, so maybe the game will give the console a slight boast to an Audience that like games like Bayonetta but don't have a Wii U.
As for the impossible sales goal I want it to reach, maybe since Bayonetta is English, it'll sell more in Europe and especially in England?
All joking aside though it already got a perfect score, it's two games in one, might be a new audience drawer, and she's a hot witch on heels, so maybe it'll sell close to 2 million? Funny though cause even saying it'll sell that much doesn't sound right
