Sony's new IP development this gen? Like uh, Knack? I guess you have some killer inside information on loads of new Sony IP's no one knows about.

Edit, Driveclub! I forgot Sony bought Evolution Studios.

advertisement and marketing is important to every product.

if you are only measuring the success of the marketing campaign by if it beats ps4 than you are doing wrong.

I think we all know that Sony is playing it close to the vest this time around.  Instead of showing cg trailers for titles many years away, they focus on things that are closer to completion. We know that several studios have been working for years on games that are still secret to this day. It keeps some surprise for e3 2015 and beyond.

Is arguing over who, Sony or Microsoft, put out the most exclusives/new IP's still a topic? I thought it was sort of like Climate change. the world has accepted it but there are still some crazies in the USA that refuse to acknowledge it.

Would be so much better if they used that money to make games...

My analogy doesnt fail because Microsoft needs to purchase to move forward. Once more think of this philosophically....

The businessman will always need a product to sell but the artist will always be able to create.

This is where Nintendo and Sony have MS beat for days.

And artists often need a business to fund their creation, which is why a lot of artists go to companies like MS and Sony.

People downplay MS for not creating some of their popular IPs. But give them no credit for keeping their IPs relevant. Something Sony has often struggled to do with their IPs.

For example, if Killzone was in the hands of 343 Studios if might have turned into something good! It doesn't matter if 343 created the IP. Its take talented people to keep the IP good, people more talented than Guerilla Games.

We dont know how talented they are until they make their own game , 343 never made an other game than Halo. It's just like Ready At Dawn

It won't help with FIFA, but based on VGC preorders, it looks like it's helping with CoD, so maybe Microsoft should just be choosy about what they get exclusive advertising for. Then again, maybe getting exclusive advertising like that is necessary for them to stay relevant at all with third party. Sure, CoD:Ghosts might have sold a little better on PS4, but it was close. Imagine what would have happened if they hadn't gotten the advertising? It'd be a slaughter.

Good jobs, you know better than a multi billion company.

Given what has transpired over the past year and a half, with said company, I'm shocked you would still hold to this belief.

dont think its a waste imagine if they didnt have these exclusive deals they cant just sit back and do nothing as for COD dont think its a dying franchise and AW sales will surprise

dont blame the consumer ghost sucked once AW releases and the reviews and word are out besides gta5 it will be the most sold game this year

IDK about that.  Like I said, I have never seen COD perform this poorly on the Bestsellers lists.  I know we still have a month til launch, but usually it would still be much higher on the yearly list by now.  I'm not saying it will sell horribly, just not as well as previous versions.

It does seem unusually low. Even the VGC pre order number seem especially low this close to release. Or is it just me? 7 weeks from release and the US preorder numbers for the top SKU of CoD:AW are about on par with where the PS3 version (the bottom SKU) of Destiny was at the same time before release. With Ghosts, all SKUs, even PS3, were much higher at this point. And I don't think I need to mention how much higher BlOps 1 and 2 or MW3 were. Even MW2 back in '09 was farther ahead at this point. It the slowest CoD preorder that VGC has on record. Microsoft is just doing what worked for them in the past, but it may not be their fault here, CoD may just seriously be dying. Not as dead as something like, say, Just Dance, but dying. Whatever will Activision do without CoD? I guess it just has to hope Destiny takes off as a series despite the poor critical reception.
