Bayo 2 did two times more than it seemed it would do, looking at COMG pre-orders. Is that normal for comg->FW sales?

Those aren't the only japanese games that the PS4 will get, it'll be the full force of japanese third parties that will make or break the system and all japanese third parties combined plus Sony are most definitely bigger than Nintendo, that's why the PS1 crushed the N64, the PS2 crushed the GC and the PS3 still came so close to the Wii even after the tremendous lead the Wii had (5 million at one point)

Well, what to take from that.

As expected Bayo 2 started bad, even terrible. Disappointing, I hoped for a miracle.

PS4, WiiU and PS3 have more or less the same baseline, although game-releases let sales spike.

It seems the japanese revitalisation of Vita is more or less over, the system drops slowly back to 10K. That would mean Vita has peaked.

X1 will probably have next week the last week over 1K for some time. Looks horrible.

3DS is the only one doing decently, but it isn't evry good overall too. Let's see how much this get revitalized with the new 3DS.

Destiny sold first week better on PS4, now better on PS3. The newer machine has more frontloaded sales? Something is wrong.

Smash has a good hold, Youkai Watch still show these incredible legs. We will have to see if it claims back the top spot in some weeks, or if Smash leg it out.

It will do nothing for hardware sales. What do people expect. bayo is a niche-game, people know for long it will come and it probably isn't deciding for a purchase of WiiU. Smash might be different, Kart was different, but Bayo will do nothing for hardware, in the West or in Japan.

japanese centric games on wii u don't do "anything"

they do decent, but not good in any way.

we got yoki watch doing gangbusters. but many homeconsole games bomb hard if u compre to the predecessor

i dont see why this would change with the ps4 lineup. yes its a good one, but imho it wont help. is the ps4 lineup so much better than the wii u one?

ps4 will still be the best selling home console this gen, but the worst doing best selling home console of all time.

it wont reach 1m units this year

i highly doubt 1 m units next year, without a 300k launch boost

over 1m units in  2016

2017, 18 and 19 are hard to predict, but i can see the ps4  doing only 2m more units in that  timeframe.

and here we go: only 5m ltd in 6 years

Obviously sales for Platinum did matter, as the game would have sold 0 copies on X360/X1/PS3/PS4 - the game was cancelled. This way Platinum could finish Bayonetta 2 at all and it will get noticable better sales as if they weren't releasing it.
