Just playing co op with friends like Destiny.

I "just played co-op" for a couple hours today. But we were grinding things during those couple hours.
You're not picking a strike or mission or raid willy nilly. Someone needs something obtained from within there. Or you're doing strikes to get vanguard marks. Or PVP for Crucible.
And even if you're ready to reply saying that no way man, you just play all these things over and over and over because you totally love Destiny bro!!, that doesn't change Destiny from being the type of game it is or the type of grind it requires. I mean, it's built right into the game for a reason. Bungie even puts limitations on how much reward you can get for grinding.
It's molded more or less after the MMO model; what did anyone expect? This is why I avoid MMO games.
Grinding is part of the charm of a MMO. Hell, look at World of Warcraft. People have been playing that game for many years and it never seems to get old. If everyone could get the good gear in 2 weeks time then what's the fun in that?
However, the grinding does need to be rewarded with gear that actually gives a good stat boost. I also think that the talents suck in Destiny, why don't developers see that it's a lot more fun to have a talent tree like in WOW where you actually have to think about your build when you reached the level cap because you can't unlock every talent when you reached the talent point limit?
So they have made the grind in the game even worse with a patch.
The "treasure cave" has been nerfed.
Duplicate items from the Queen missions will no longer break down into sweet, precious ascendant energy and shards.
Seems Bungie was butt hurt that people found a loophole to level up and grind for gear that was far superior to the way they actually designed the game. So now they will (supposedly) increase the rate of drops during missions, so people play more missions. Repetitive, shitty missions in the same few areas again and again.
The removing of the good breakdown items for all the duplicate Queens gear is almost as baffling. I mean, you already have to play the same tiny amount of areas and missions. I can routinely pick up 3-4 bounties, do those, turn them in to get tokens to do the Queen missions, and 2-3 of those 4 missions are the EXACT same thing as the bounty was. And now at the end of it I get a duplicate item that breaks down into junk I can stockpile in a 30 minute chest run.
All with the promise of increased drop rate. Yet, if we look at how flawed their system was at launch (and still), why put any faith into those shenanigans? Not to mention you still have to take those engrams and be at the mercy of the random number generator.
I've beaten the game, I almost finished Vault of Glass this morning but a few people had to bounce. Once I finish that I think I am done until maybe there is a used "Complete Game Edition" or something where you actually get the complete game. Core gameplay here is fun, but it's like a hard strawberry candle shell of good gunplay wrapped around a dog turd of a loot and progression system with a bonus warm mayo filling of incredibly terrible story.

Yeah its BS. And to add insult to injury, the Queens Missions gives you nothing but duplicates no matter how many missions you play.

It is give you four Legendary parts of your gear armors: helmet, chest, legs and gauntlets.
Everybody is reaching lvl 28 due this event.
And people needs that because Iron Banner is coming.

What about the people who already have their legendary armor and don't need the queen's duplicates? We're doing the bounties and missions for nothing now because we can't get Ascendant Shards from them.

I disagree with somethings in Bungie decision but this easy Ascendant Shards exploit I agree... needed to be fixed.
I talked wth some guys in the Clan and VizionEck about that and they agree Bugie did the right thing in this case.
