You do realize that vanilla Diablo 3 had a horrific loot system, right? They patched it right before the launch of Reaper of Souls to make the game playable.

Here we go again.

There are basically three ways to level up in Destiny.

1. RNGesus: grinding for Blue and Purple Engrams and decrypting it to get Legendary and Exotic gears... you need luck to get a Exotic gears because it have low decrypt chances.

2. Buying: Just get enought Vanguard/Crucible/Faction marks to buy any Legendary gears or just buy Exotic gears from Xur.

3. Exotic Bounties: Just complete the three tasks of a Exotic Bounty to be rewarded by a Exotic gear.

I did not grind at all and got that:

1x Exotic from Blue Engrams
xx (ALOT) Legendary from Blue Engrans
1x Exotic from Purple Engrams
2x Legendary from Purple Engrams
2x Bought in Vangard using 130 Marks
1x Bought from Xur with 13 Strange Coins
1x Exotic Bounty

lvl 27 and close to lvl 28.. just need a Legendary Helmet (the only Legendary gear I don't have).

I just play what I think is fun

Destiny loot system is great in my opinion... every single enemie have change to crop Engrams based on your level... high level more rare is the Engram you got (I started to get a lot of Purple Engrams after lvl 25 and close to nono Green Engrams).

It is not like others games that you need to beat a specifc mission or boss for that rare loot... any place or enemy can give you the loot you want

Agreed the engram thing can piss me off sometimes. Other then that though I don't care much I'm not trying to get the ultimate gear as quickly as possible like everyone else. I just play the game and enjoy it. I'll do strikes, crucible, daily story and just hop around doing it all and having fun. Eventually I'll have the rank/marks to get the equipment I want.

This guy gets it. Just have fun playing the game there is no race to get the best gear as quickly as possible.

PVP is one place I think the loot is a bit unfair because it is RNGesus based... so you can be the best played in PVP and got nothing vs a guy that did nothing and get a Legendary Engram.

They can work in a better way for PVP... even so they give a lot of rewards every match... it is hard to see a guys not geting at least a Rare gears in PVP.

The PvE loot system is fair in my opinion.

Sure?

I did have 32 Strage coins and 149 marks without griding... just doing bounties while played the Strikes and mission with buddies.

Like I said I already have request to try the new Nighfall Strike and the Weekly Strike today... I do the Heric Daily Story too... I just do the fun daily activities.

That is griding?

PS. And plays Crucible... yesterday I got Crucible lvl 2 just well playing it because it is fun.

Re-playing the same missions/strikes over and over to get better loot is grinding.
