No reason why it's delayed or a firm date when it's back. 

Microsoft announced late Friday that “despite strong and steady progress, we are going to need more a bit more time to deliver the best experiences possible for our fans in China.”

“At Xbox, we pride ourselves on delivering first rate gaming and entertainment experiences and to allow us to deliver on that promise we need to reschedule the launch of Xbox One,” Microsoft said in a statement. “Working with our partner, BesTV, we look forward to launching in China by the end of this year.”

Microsoft wouldn’t comment on a reason for the delay. The original release in China was slated for Sept. 23.

Isnt pre-orders suposed to be over 100k ? Maybe it is supply issues.

Guys, you really need to stop to take any rumor as a fact, really. It already was a disaster with the rumors about the japan sales, don't do it one more time.

For a country with 2 billion inhabitants 100k is a pretty modest number realy.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the Kinectless sku's that had sound issues like the ones in the t2 launch a few weeks back?

I think a large number of those 100k (about 45k I think) were an estimate that used an equation that I personally didn't understand why it had anything to do with pre order numbers, but I would have to go through the Xbox thread to find this now.

So, end of year? Guess that retail disc DRM needs some time to get implemented, it's not just like flipping the switch, you know...

Whoever expecting huge launch number for China is gonna wake up soon

I think the only legitimate preorder number was 36k. 

I thought it launched already
