Forums - Microsoft - WTH...Xbox One China launch will be delayed??

Probably supply issues, once every chinese official had their ''free'' X1 delivered to their house there wasn't anymore left for the common folks.

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Isnt pre-orders suposed to be over 100k ? Maybe it is supply issues.

No.

Guys, you really need to stop to take any rumor as a fact, really. It already was a disaster with the rumors about the japan sales, don't do it one more time.

Excuse me but the Microsoft buying Mojang was little more than a rumor until Monday and now we know it was stone cold fact.

What's your point? For every rumour thats true there are 5 that are false, before japan launch people there were rumours pre-orders were over 100 k too..look how that turned out, there has never been confirmation.

This is bad. I do hope its because of the Chinese government and not due to low demand or something like that.

The X1 probably has not met the Chinese government's standards and/or had low preorders. If the latter, either those 100k preorders weren't true or were considered not high enough.

Three days before launch? That will instill confidence in the handful of people interested in a pricey home console with few titles.

So outside of the Chinese poll where the PS4 crushed the X1 5 to 1, there is also a huge disparity in Weibo.

Playstation

~ 170,000 fans (http://www.weibo.com/psasia?nick=PlayStation )
~ 45,000 fans (http://www.weibo.com/playstationchina )

VS.

Xbox

~ 21,300 fans (http://www.weibo.com/xboxcn )

On top of this, there are also a lot more blogs and current watchers on Playstation than on Xbox.

imho there are 3 options
its china government related
localisation
to high demand so to less "china" xbox ones

but this wont help them to sell more in any way.
launch now and get a great holiday, too is better than have a bigger launch at holiday

That is smart I guess, Axl Rose does it all the time in the Guns n´roses concert, does he not? He delay the thing for hours so everyone is so desesperate for some entertainment that the show sounds cooler.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Too low demand could be a reason as well.

So maybe pre-orders aren't as high as they would like?
