My guess is that they would of announced the date by now if it was really gonna release in two months.

I'm pretty sure Super Mario 3D World's final release date was announced only a month beforehand.

Nintendo doesn't always announce release dates far in advance, and there are explanations that are reasonable as to why they would do it like this.
