That cannot be true. I wouldn't be surprised to see 1080P television sold at most stores five years from now. What television shows are in 4K yet? What movies? Why would people is massive numbers switch to it in 2015?

I thought the forbes article was a joke then I went and checked out my local Dixons 199 different TV's in shop 54 were 4K over 25% and some are cheaper than 720P sets.

So while people may not care about 4K it does look like as with 3D and smart features the TV manufacturers are not going to give you a choice not to buy a 4K TV.

Where was this analysis in 2008 when the reverse was happening to Sony? The sinking ship articles, the docking .5 score off a PS3 version because it looked worse then it's counterpart. From this article, this isn't true. Both consoles can technically output 4K@30fps if devs wanted.

Don't think 4K will become mainstream anytime soon that being said I agree that both the X1 and PS4 are out of date. Hopefully this generation will be a bit shorter then last generation so that we will get something that is a bit more up to date sooner then later.
