Forums - Gaming - Destiny Identity Crisis Fix?

Played my first strike mission last night. I was impressed, it was so intense and exciting, and I simply played with two randoms with the skillset similar to mine.
I can only imagine Raids being much more fun.

The game is really enjoyable to me, I was planning on letting my PS+ expire next week, but now I'm renewing it for sure.
I even love PvP, a mode I generally avoid in games.

People just enjoy hating things, and this game is a perfect target...

Only a few hours in but I love it so far.

IMO most of the negative (and some of the positive) opinions are just from biased people believing that bungie "betrayed" xbox fans. I mean you go in the XBO nation thread and they mostly dislike it, while in a more pro Sony thread most people like it.

It makes it hard to get a clear picture of how the game is really being recieved.

This theory would have more validity if Destiny wasn't boring and flawed. I see avid Sony fans admitting its not living upto expectations and pending reviews are looking lukewarm.

The game has some genuinely enjoyable moments, but the product as a whole ain't great. I'd be surprised if the metascore becomes higher than the low 80s.

No complaints from me. Reminds me of borderlands with the RPG feeling, playing as a lone wolf is great too. All my friends IRL love it, I had to come to the forums to see complaints and dislike.

Well I love it so far, all the haters gonna hate.

I think its a good game. There is flaws in it but overall a very good game and possibly the best game on XBO/PS4 at this moment if you like coop driven games.

And thats where it stands. If you play games socially with your friends in coop, then youre going to love this game. If you play by yourself, then its just ok. I play coop so im liking it very much

I love the game, given I have amazing friends to play with that make the game super fun.

I like it.

Remember people, look at what the first Assassin's Creed was and what came later. Look at Call of Duty and what came later. Look at Halo: Combat Evolved and where Bungie took the series.

This is the first step of many. It will have problems. Its still a PS3 and 360 game.

Personally, I enjoyed it (but I only played the beta). But from what've I've seen on these forums and around the internet is that the game was A HUGE letdown.

It is otherwise... only a minority is saying that.

I think Bungie played it safe for the most part. Destiny is a good FPS, but nothing more.  I can understand people being disappointed, the hype for the game was unbelievable.
