Wow, amazing indeed.
On Bayonetta 2: "Hyper-stimulating graphics"
I see what you did there.
And, yes, Nintendo needs to advertise like this, but with one game at a time. And show off the Wii U as an entirely new console.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

No if he was I am sure there would be plenty of intellegent people all over him. This was in a gaming fb group when the topic came up.

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.
| archbrix said: Agreed, it's a very good ad and exactly what I suggested they do. All it would need is to be broken into several commercials (one for games out now, one for games coming this year, and one for future games) with a little editing to make each ad fit into 15-30 second bits. Just end each one with that same ending featuring all of the game screens running in the background and they're good to go. |
I'd break them into themes, instead, with one out-now game, one coming-soon game, and one coming-later game.

Cos the Wii U marketing department was outsourced to the orangutans at the local zoo.
It's good, but long.
It's not going to happen though. The only time Nintendo marketed the Wii U was with MK8 launch.
In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.
Just add some missing games like Pikmin 3 and we're all set! Nintendo won't do it though.... How surprising!

Nintendo needs to get rid of their "just for kids" stigma, which has been around for years. Back in the 80's and 90's Nintendo was for everyone. It was *the* source for video game entertainment. Since then they've ceded a lot of ground to Sony and Microsoft and if they want to poach those customers they need to sell their system as sexy and edgy while maintaining the family friendly identity. It should be considered cool to be a Wii U owner, not a source of embarrassment.
That video would be a step in the right direction. Yes it's long but the spirit and the vibe of it capture that cool factor and excitement.

I don't think anyone who's not pathologically insecure is actually embarrassed of owning a video game console.
