Forums - Gaming - EA is brilliant: people creating 2nd accounts for EA Access to have 6 more hours of early Madden access

Tbh the decent sized youtubers could probably get their money back making videos off it.
Everyone else must be really passionate or really... rich. =P

People can be really stupid...

This applies to all EA Access subscribers, of course.

Explain. The point of ea access isn't just early access. We get this on top of free games(total cost in stores is over 30) 10 percent discount and this. Shut up

EA Access is a pretty obvious slippery slope and gateway drug on the part of one of the most notoriously manipulative publishers in the industry.

Content will never be created for EA Access -- it will be cut from people who don't subscribe. "Early access" is by definition either beta testing for a price or delaying access for non-subscribers. 10% off means that EA will be lowering product values by 10% internally. You can see their attempts at subtly  increasing the prices of games with their $70 versions of Madden and Dragon Age: Inquisition -- Pay $70 instead of $60 and get some of the content that was cut away from the $60 players.

Why are EA doing this? Because they can use it to increase the de facto cost of gaming, restrict game ownership, and refuse to cooperate with PS+/XBLG, which is are cross-publisher benefits packages which provide better services without the same level of shadiness.

If EA Access succeeds, then more notorious mega-publishers will follow suit, demanding $30+ sub fees from all of us... And we'll find that we're worse off overall.

Don't believe Ondore's lies~

Good god...This makes me hurt. People being stupid are going to cost the rest of us gamers dearly.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Indeed, that's the risk we all face. We need to be very vocal in our opposition to EA Access and similar publishers scams.

How is it a scam? its not EA's fault that people want more early access and go on making a second account..

So, people are willing to pay $5 for 6 hours of gameplay.....repeatedly....
Hopefully not the same people bashing PSNow....

you know there is a diffrence between paying $5 for 6 hours of a NEW game, than paying that range of price for renting an OLD game that you could buy for the same price.

if you can tell me where people can get NFL 15 for $5 retail box tell me

You know there is a bigger difference between paying $5 for 6 hours of a new game on the platform that you own to one that is an older game that you can play on many different systems which has to be hosted by a high bandwdith PS3 server that you don't own. If PSNow was, you must own the correct system (PS3) and you can download the actual game file and hire the game, well thats a completely different story.

some people are stupid, but there probably only a small number of people who will actually do it

Wow, EA really are ingenious. Why would people do this? Just play the 6 hours you've got and then buy the actual game and play it for as long as you want.

Americans.

Think about it. These are people who call a sport that is played with hands "football".

The Brits started that actually. Just saying

Your right, there is a difference people willing to spend $10+ for an extra 6+ hours of a game that comes out 5 days after the demo is release seems much more stupid.

People knocking the price of PSnow are also in there own little special brand of people also... I mean have these people NEVER rented a game before ever? How about a movie? You rent a movie for $5-6 and you get 90-120min out of it.... People will bitch because they can even though they make little sense.
