EA Access is a pretty obvious slippery slope and gateway drug on the part of one of the most notoriously manipulative publishers in the industry.
Content will never be created for EA Access -- it will be cut from people who don't subscribe. "Early access" is by definition either beta testing for a price or delaying access for non-subscribers. 10% off means that EA will be lowering product values by 10% internally. You can see their attempts at subtly increasing the prices of games with their $70 versions of Madden and Dragon Age: Inquisition -- Pay $70 instead of $60 and get some of the content that was cut away from the $60 players.
Why are EA doing this? Because they can use it to increase the de facto cost of gaming, restrict game ownership, and refuse to cooperate with PS+/XBLG, which is are cross-publisher benefits packages which provide better services without the same level of shadiness.
If EA Access succeeds, then more notorious mega-publishers will follow suit, demanding $30+ sub fees from all of us... And we'll find that we're worse off overall.
Don't believe Ondore's lies~
