Forums - Gaming - EA is brilliant: people creating 2nd accounts for EA Access to have 6 more hours of early Madden access

Idiots.

Hmm, pie.

Not the British version of Football that American Football is based on. American Football began as variaton of Rugby in Britian. That too was played mostly with your hands.

I will give you this one.... :-p

Ubisoft was trying really hard this year to be the worst game development company. Sorry Ubi....

I would do this for me4 early access

You know I got early access to ME series before, I didn't pay a dime. I bought the game day 1, but I had early access to the PC copy. /me puts up the Jolly Roger Flag.

So, people are willing to pay $5 for 6 hours of gameplay.....repeatedly....
Hopefully not the same people bashing PSNow....

There are definitely games I would pay $5 to play before launch.

Does that mean I want to pay about $5 to play old PS3 games for a few hours? Nope.

But that's not the point he is trying to make.. it's people that are willing to create a 2nd 3rd or more to extend the time they can play a game before it launches... in this case a mere 5 days before it launches.

No, the point he was trying to make is that if you aren't a fan of PS Now prices, you shouldn't be a fan of this situation where people pay $5 for new accounts so they can play Madden some more.

And Puggly's reply was that there are games he wouldn't mind paying $5 to play early, but that doesn't mean he has to be ok with paying $5 to play some old PS3 junk for four hours.

It's a reach and a bad one at that. I mean, who here paid $60 for Diablo UEE? So you paid $60 for a game? Well then you should have no problem paying $60 for Murdered: Soul Suspect. It's also a game, and also $60. So apparently this is how logic works.

You are actually very close to the point I was trying to make...

There actually are people that bought Murdered: Soul Suspect for $60. Probably much less than purchased Diablo. But they are both games sold at the same price, and bith had their market audience.

Same as in my example: Some people enjoy Madden so damn much that they cannot wait 5 days, but repeatedly pay $5 just to play more during the Early Access period.

But there are also people that enjoy old PS3 games (any from some 130 games) who are willing to pay to play classics.

However, some XBox users took to the internet to bash PSNow service any time they could. That's why I hope that those people are not hypocrites paying for one service (more than once) while calling out others.

See, if anybody really cared that much about my opinion (why would anybody?), they would have seen that I am pro EA Access. And would gladly pay $30 per year if I could. But I sure as hell wouldn't pay extra just because I'm too impatient to wait a couple of days.

And it's not fair to equate PSNow with some "old junk", because I'm sure there are some quality titles there, same as I'm sure that most gamers here, regardless of console, still enjoy playing a quality game from 2007 or 2011.

Who has the right to judge a person who would rather pay $5 for a few hours of Darksiders, Enslaved or Catherine or any other, than the same amount for Madden 15? Many would argue Darksiders is a better deal, even 5 years removed...

That was my point. And the source of all hypocrisy, in which a person can crap all over one service, while embracing another, similar, service......just because the console offering it is more favorable to them. (And this goes for both sides equally).

Isn't it stupid also for people to pre-order games?

You could buy it or download it on digital marketplaces the same day it releases.

Pre-paying publishers are one of the most stupid ideas I've ever seen.

No not really, I mean I don't really pre-order but I understand people that do. They want to gauentee there copy and not everyone likes digital copies of games. It's also not like I can't cancel a pre-order if I have to.

Well I am taking it to mean he would pay an additional $5 as really that's the point behind the thread as nobody really is debating the initial cost of the program just people willing to spend $5 more for an additional 6 hours of gameplay... If that's not what he meant then the reply he made was miss simply wrong as it makes no sense to the comment he was replying to.
Age does not make a game bad and if one can't see the difference between the services that Sony offers with PSnow and what EA is going to offer then I am sorry.  I find people willing to spend extra money on what is essentially an extended demo of a game more crazy as you are getting a little extra time and then factor in the damn game is releasing 5 days later. The stupidity in that is just mind blowing, but it's not my money people can do what they want with it...
Your last comment is the very definition of a bad reach! I mean The vast majority of people who will buy Diablo 2: UEE are people that have not played it on PC.. considering your getting the game + the expansion for $60 is not bad it would cost you more seperatly on PC, so you actually have value not to mention Diablo 2 has turned out to be a very good game with great continued support... Can't really say that about Murdered Soul as it should have been a $19.99 game at most. I could go on more about the reach you made but I am bored.

What's wrong with the urge of paying extra $5 to access a game people can't wait to play?

I'd rather pay $5 for 6 hours of a game that is coming out soon, than paying $30 for less than six hours of Metal Gear: Ground Zero.

First off the PSnow prices are not finalized yet.. not sure how people keep missing that point... Besides $30 gets you 90 days not less then 6 to be clear.. There are cheaper price points that would more then cover the entirety of the game (I assume that's what you were going after, but you needed to make your point more dramatic)

So you mean to so you so impatient you cannot wait to play a game 5 days after a demo is released? 5 days? really.. I am sorry but I think that's just a waste. Thing is the vast majority of people wanting a 2nd account to play these games are probably going to buy them right away anyway so again why the hell can't you wait 5 bloody days? If you need more than 6 hours to see if a game is for you then the game is probably not for you.
