Doubt it. Baseline increase to maybe 70k, but i doubt the effect will last beyond about May/June next year. Even those games can only drive hardware sales for so long. Indeed Wii U baseline seems to have dropped below 60k already.

I'm gonna buy them, I'm actually holding off on other Nintendo merchandise so that I can buy the Amiibo's. Smash is one of my favorite games, but I doubt I really use the Ammibo's for it. I just wanna display them around my gaming area for the most part and just in case I'll have them if something really useful pops up for them.

Regardless of how WiiU sells on amiibo, it will still be the same audience so 3rd parties aren't coming back and WiiU keeps being a secondary system to PS4/X1/PC
