Umm some opinions can be wrong......Example, x1 is more powerfull the ps4 I have seen many with this opinion, this is technically incorrect. |
thank you for proving my point, the amount of evidence indicating that PS4 is more powerful clearly makes the opposite claim a wrong opinion

either you clarify your point or you cease to derail the thread - it is impossible for me to answer such an obscure insinuation |
You first attempted to derail this thread when you mention the PS4. We all know that the Xbox One sales are nowhere near where Microsoft and its fan want it to be being that the PS4 is outselling it worldwide 2:1. So it's understanable to receive PR spin from Microsoft which is very obvious with this article as well as past articles to makes thing sound more rosey than they really are for the Xbox One. We all know this, but in contrast we all also know that thus far, the PS4 has been a runaway success. So besides accepting the fact that the reported 10 million PS4 units sold to consumer is good news while the attempt of Microsoft to sugar coat the relatively poor sales of the Xbox One is not, you have the equate the obvious BS from Microsoft the same as the positive facts from Sony. Do what you have to to make you sleep better at night, but that doesn't mean the rest of us are not enjoying the reality we live in.
I am from India and the system costs 40,000 rupees here - 650 dollars here, the same as ps4 and the region locked wii u (surprisingly).
Videogaming is an upper middle class hobby here and not many people can afford it. So sales take quite a while to pick, the highest selling console here would be ps3 for the next few years. However the sheer population makes the Indian market lucrative. So if 15% people can afford it that makes 150 million people!!
On a fair assessment Microsoft really pushed the 360 when it came out but RRoD absolutely killed it. This time are offering quite a few good offers etc. But Sony is the undisputed king as in most developing countries, they have dedicated showrooms etc. Nintendo has no presence here so its irrelevant.
By the way none of the tv features here work, television programming is burdened by boring red tape, so it will take a while. We dont even have netflix.
The new gen should take off only after the first set of price cuts in my opinion.

1) PS4 is in the title fyi
2) what i get from the rest of your post, besides a strange anger and the somewhat cheap conjectures, is that indeed the x1 is in need of changing it's perceived value - but nowhere do you indicate how that value is inferior to that of the PS4
imo the X1 has a far better online system, far better games, and far better OS, which confirm the PR statement as more than just PR

Who cares if "PS4" is in the title becuase this was NEVER about PS4 PR as you tried to make it out as. Just deal with the facts that Microsoft needs to spin to help spur sales of the Xbox One while Sony can more readily report positive facts to help continually built a positive PS4 image. If I were a Microsoft fan, I can conceivably understand the anger. But I'm not the Microsoft fan here, so....

Essentially the claim is that the XBO is a better platform, presumably under the notion that media/TV functions are the determining factor to tip the balance, but this flies in the face of the reality global consumers have chosen.
To say that the XBO won't struggle to find its audience really depends entirely upon MS India projections for sales and success. If the bar is realistic or lower, then it won't be a struggle. But if this is taken to mean that the XBO will become the platform of choice of Indian consumers (#1 in sales)... time will tell, but those are long odds.

if you deny my logical point then answer this : if it's an opinion that you cannot prove then how is it "obvious" ? |
Why don't you ask kitler?
Using the descriptive term "obliviousobvious" to describe the PR statement of MS rep is also opinion.
and once again, You cannot prove an opinion.
As for whether or not I am denying your logical point about Sony's Announcement being PR, that is not the case. I clearly stated it in the underlined.
The discrepancy is in the italized, regardless of whether or not its a fact or opinion its a PR statement. That being said an objective fact is not comparable to a subjective opinion.
