I am done with Ubi long now. They are fucking bad.

It's pretty much a cheat code to get all the armor/gear in the game. Instead of earning the money in game you just gotta pay with real world money. Have you cheated in other Assassins Creed games by getting gear without having the in game wealth for it? If no, then nothing has changed.

Wow that's dumb. Maybe their budget for this game was too huge. Oh well, it looks like it won't affect gameplay too much.

who gives a rats ass. If micro transactions are non fundamental to the game then all for it. If someone is stupid enough to buy a virtual item with real money that is purely cosmetic then well you cant blame companies for that, unless your really rich then who cares anyway.

And Micro transactions for unlocks aswell who cares. Progression would be exactly the same if they were there or not, simply ignore it, its obviously not for you.

They were also in Black Flag, but whatever! Assassin's Creed is d00med!!!

Ubisoft will earn less money with Unity than previous installments because of the smaller install base while the game will be way more expensive to develop and it looks AMAZING from what I have seen.

Therefore they have to recoup what they have spent and micro transactions are one such method, since they can't increase the price of the game outright.

These are optional add ons and don't understand why people have problems with them . Big publishers need revenue to survive, hire the best talent for their studios etc

So you don't buy them if you're against them? This is literally just a replacement for cheats. Not a big loss

If you guys really have a problem with that you should complain about the people who buy it and not the companies who implement it. I mean, they only implement it because people use it which means there are also people who want this (they will obviously not say that on the internet).

Telling companies not to implement something which at least a part of their audience wants doesn't really work. They would only stop with it if there wouldn't be an audience for it.

That companies who aren't allowed to increase game prices for like  20 years now implement other stuff to make the money they would normally make with higher game prices isn't really a surprise...

Sure, Asscreed would be profitable even without this stuff but you shouldn't forget that the profitable games have to make enough profit to absorb the losses of the unprofitable stuff. And looking at the financials of game companies it doesn't really look as if they don''t know what to do with all the profits...
