It's true, if I can get the games on PC I have less reason to buy an XB1 and I'm still waiting for enough resons.

The other problem is their games have staled a bit. The way that God of War has staled, so have Microsoft's best Gears of War and Halo.

Sony has been better about keeping more of their main franchises going strong, and successful new IPs.

The most recent GoW wasn't exactly amazing, Uncharted 3 was more more like Uncharted 2.5, and GT6 was a misstep.

Last of Us was a successful new IP. But I'm not that surprised another zombie game did well. Even State of Decay sold a few million.

Most people interested in X1 or PS4 aren't going buy or build a gaming PC.

Not every game can be played on Mac or Linux, so yeah they are profiting by trying to get those to either change completely to Windows or get the OS additionally.
For their own games (or API - DX12) they can make Windows 8 (or 7+) mandatory to even run the game, thus forcing Windows owners to upgrade from XP or Vista.

Obviously Xbox is suffering a bit from that.

If the overlap were anything substantial I would think MS would require the IP in exchange for publishing/funding and not release it on PC, much like Sony has been doing.

Okay, let me add to that. Its gonna take more than games like Dead Rising 3 and Ryse to bring a significant number of PC gamers to X1. So it doesn't really matter if those games go to PC.

If the X1 fails to sell as many units as the 360 its not because it shared games with the PC. The biggest issue for console gaming at the moment is casual gamers seem to have moved phone/tablet gaming.

So are you concerned about MS? Is it important to you they sell more consoles?

I think MS came to the conclusion a few games moving the PC has little impact on the X1 or even the 360. Even MS publishes some of their games on PC.

State of Decay is a great game though. I still haven't played TLOU.

Ugh, you still don't get it. Ok, remember how when Dead Rising 3 was announced, and Microsoft said "Oh, we FULLY funded Dead Rising 3 and the game wouldn't have been developed without us." I truly believed that and also when they announced Ryse and called it a XBO exclusive. So tell me, when they say it is a XBO exclusive, it should be a XBO exclusive. They shouldn't come to PC, because they specifically called it XBO exclusive. And now look, they said Tomb Raider was a XBO exclusive, today Phil Spencer said it was a timed exclusive and it isn't being developed by Microsoft so it is coming to PS4. So tell me, do you see that pattern? When Microsoft keeps announcing these "exclusives" and they go on PC later, people will notice and they have. And yes, it's only 2 or 3 games now but people now know Microsoft doesn't know the word exclusive. People aren't stupid, you think they can't see the pattern? Any intelligent person can see this.

You are completely hopeless. MS didn't come to the conclusion of shit. Just like last gen, they just paid the developers not to make a PS4 version of the game. IF it was really up to MS, then they would have published it and they would be getting money for the PC version. They aren't getting money for the PC version because they aren't publishing it. 

EDIT: I'm talking about the Xbox One, Dead Rising 3 and Ryse and even Tomb Raider which the PC versions and Tomb Raider itself are not being published by Microsoft.
