Forums - Gaming Discussion - Bloodborne to be less 'punishing' aiming for a 'wider audience'

You could choose between normal and hard, changing your weapons, your speed and a little bit the health on enemies. Even on hard I easily survived until the boss.

That seems a fair compormise between people who are more or less able. Never understood why options like this bother anyone.

I played it today, it is in no way as hard as Dark Souls...

Keep in mind they always lower the difficulty for public demos.

Anyways, how was it?

It was fun, really! Check my thread, I secretly made a picture (a crappy one), the Sony guys were quite sensitive with photos, sadly.

Game was fluid, good mechanics, you directly feel you can control the protagonist way better than Dark Souls. The game is made for the masses, definitely. Even hard mode was not *that* hard to.

Great news.

All I'm saying is that Dark Souls 2 tried to aim for a wider audience and that one turned out to be my least favourite Souls game to date.

Wow that's horrible news. They're catering to bads to make more money :(

Good that they're aiming for a larger audience but this game really doesn't appeal to me.

If they make this more casual and user friendly I will definitely consider buying this. DS is not my kind of game, so to have an option for a casual mode would be nice :)

I've never played the Souls games, but this one has a very cool setting, glad that it will be also easier.

STFU and go play Lost Odyssey or something as equally challenging as LO.

Boooooooooooo

Don't dare casualize my Souls games!

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
