Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony being sued over Killzone not being 1080p.

are you guys being serious? they arent being sued for the game not being 1080p, theyre being sued for false advertising. you really think these game developers should be allowed to falsely advertise resolution? i cant believe people are actually defending this.

The false advertising claim is that its not native 1080p,  that is what they are saying was falsly advertized, so they are sueing because they believe it isnt.  the thing is, it IS a native 1080P image.

ok, i wouldnt know if it is or isnt because i dont care about that kind of crap, but if it isnt, they definitely should be facing reprecussions for false advertising.

Mumy company hired me for a wage of 1,5k/week. But they never pay fully. They always take away 1/3 and give to IRS and SS I'll sue them.

great analogy.....

?

Company promissed to pay 1500 but pays 1000. False advertisement to get me to sign.

Company promisses 1080p60fps MP and deliver it but technically 960x1080 pixels (which still is 1080 progressive scanned lines) and the other 960x1080p is predicted then we sue.

Since the plaintiff screams he noticed rigth away it was 960x1080p it will be a simple defense that game is 1080p generated and outputed and put plaintiff to distinguish between several 960x1080p against 1080p and he wouldn't be able since he isn't pixel counters and even DF and 3D had a hard time. Miss pratice counter suit. And perjury.

Maybe they should sue for that then, since the MP isn't 60fps either: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlAYu_Vs-js

If Sony gets sued for false advertising, will every publisher that released sub-HD games last gen get sued too?

Someone already made that point. But the issue is advertised native resolution.

I can't think of any 7th gen game that was marketed for being 720p but was below that.

If they promoted and heavily advertised (bragged) that the game was native HD then yes, why not.

Whats you point?

My point is, Sony isn't the only one to do this, and I doubt we will see a huge crusade against publishers any time soon. It wouldn't surprise me if the false advertising continued into this gen though.

now can you link me to the ad where they brag about it being native HD?

Do games listing "1080p, 1080i, 720p" on the box count?
