. People have been able to buy the system almost everywhere, in local stores or imported.

this never get old...

people have been able to buy the system almost everywhere in the local stores in tier 1 countries.

why do they not already bought the system. why the hell do some people buy consoles later and not right know.

its even more easy for them. they dont even need to import like all the other, who can already buy theire console in tier 2 countries.

its confirmed. zero xbox one will be sold in europe tier 2 countries, because they already can buys consoles, they just dont and will neither if they can buy offical consoles.

be ready for a 300k - 500k bump.  dont forget china.

ahh nevermind. wont sell any consoles there. china is ps4 land and everyone can already buy an xbox one

I'm not sure if you're arguing with yourself or someone else in that thread. Certainly not me. I said I expect maybe a 100k boost in September from the tier 2 launch. That doesn't mean what you just quoted isn't true. You don't have to believe me, but I've seen One in stores in more than one non-tier 1 country. How does "officially" launching it make it any easier for people to buy it? Secondly, like I said before, Xbox has not traditionally and, especially now, will not have a big presence in those countries. Why anyone believes that when it's selling 6-7k per week in the tier 1 European countries (all together) not called the UK after a recent price cut is beyond my ability to understand.

I think MS has to drop the price. $349.99 for the November shopping rush.

$399.99 Madden NFL 2015 bundle this month will help them.

because launche sales these days are big.

we got 100k+ launch sales form countrys doing 2.5k a week now (germany and france)

we just need 10k first week sales for each of  the 25 countries. to reach 250k. or just 5k each for 125k and pass ur 100k goal

+ japan 50-100k (xbox one wont have long legs in japan, but will have a big launch because of hardcore fans)

+ china 0-200k (no idea what they can or will sell)

result: 300k-500k boost

100k boost in september?

25k japan sales

15k china sales

2,4k each other tier 2 country

thats abysmal launch figures....

100k in September
*45k in Japan
*55k in the rest of the countries. They are all small markets. Worse, they are small markets that largely don't care about Xbox.

The only one I'm not sure about is Japan. It might have a better launch there like you say but it will drop off. And then again, it might do worse than I think due to MS failing for 2 generations in Japan.

And some of those countries are already getting the X1 unofficially for a cheaper price than the official launch price.

it won't I think it will either go up and down all the time or if handled right it will go up this Holiday and keep the momentum.... but I doubt it will go under 360... I even doubt it will keep widening with the PS4 a that rate come next year.... especially the more they listen to Phil Spencer and the customers

They never listened to customers.....they would have kept DRM and everything else if sales were good, they had no choice as sales were horrid. Sony did it right right from Day 1, ms switching gears only due to poor sales isn;t going to change anything.

You seemd to be confused here. You do realize that the Xbox One was NEVER on sale with the "DRM" and the "everything" else you seem to think they dropped after sales were "horrid". The only change sinse release is the offering a Kinect-less bundle. Even there.. both are still for sale..

Sales had no bearing on the removal of all the "DRM" or digital based plans. Customer reaction did. Which was changed MONTHS before the Xbox One release.. over 4 months to be exact.

Microsoft has been listening to customers, and Phil Spencer has been a big reason for this. They are adding new features and changing things EVERY SINGLE month based on DIRECT CUSTOMER FEEDBACK.

ANd last... Sales were not "horrid" The Xbox One is still ahead of X360 at this point in the release. Sales were LOW compared to the PS4. But one could have said why didn't the PS3 and X360 make massive changes when the Wii was outselling both of the by a HUGE margin. It's not always about chasing your competitor. Microsoft's only comparison for their success is the X360 sales, which outsold the OG Xbox.

Xbox One was not available to be purchased in Germany and France before launch.  It's available in all Tier 2 countries now.

Although it is cheaper in some countries, the official price is actually more expensive in others. Especially places where taxes are high.So some South American countries are better off buying the X1 at the current price compared to the official one.

Averages mean nothing. There are some tiny markets there that will lower it a lot.
