Wow, an Master Race image with Type C Otaku actually exists? That's..... pretty cool actually!

Yeah guys, I'm not trying to be some guy to wag his finger at you. I want you all to have a good time and discuss awesome anime, but being that this is in our "public forums", we have to be very careful on what we post. It's all about what the image or video is trying to accomplish. There's nothing wrong with women in swimwear, but once we start insinuations or going into the more "lewd!" topics that the genre presents, we enter a grey area that's tough to ignore if somone's viewing this in a public setting.

Here's what I posted on Vance's wall if it helps clear it up:

Like I said, I'm not really mad or anything, and I'm not saying any direction is right or wrong. It's what you want it to be. I'm not here to be a kill joy, but to make sure that the direction of the thread goes with the rules we have in place.

We have NSFW discussion for a reason, and it's perfectly viable. I get how easily anime discussion can begin to toe the "hentai" line, so I know how much of an issue it can be (hence my little warning in the OP).

Obviously anime =/= hentai, and anime with suggestive content =/= hentai either, but where you have the thread now (Movie discussion), we can't have the suggestive content. That's just how it is. We can have it in NSFW discussion, and there's no problem with having it there (albeit you can't see it on the main Hot Topics bar) so it can include most anime, but that's the trade-off.

So yeah, my intention isn't to shame, but to make sure you have the best thread you can have. But that means putting it into a section of the forums that makes the most sense. So do let me know if you want it in "Movies" or "NSFW". :)

Hope that makes things a bit more clear. And like I said, I want this to be the best thread it can be, but it needs to abide by the forum it finds itself in. "Movies" needs to be SFW while NSFW can obviously have NSFW images/content.*

*which is still very different from actual pornographic content, which is not allowed at all.

ON TOPIC!

My favorite anime is still Cowboy Bebop. I just love the atmosphere and old-style heart that just infuses the world. Wonderful music as well. (The evil rotten lobster monster episode is awesome )

I've also seen Blood+ and Eureka 7 all the way through, and I enjoyed those as well. ^_^

So I guess you could call me a bit of an "anime noob", only really got into it in the past year or so. Always been a fan of the movies; My Neighbour Totoro and Howl's Moving Castle being amongst my favourite, but actual time to watch the full series' has been limited.

Having said that; been watching through "Full Metal Alchemist" for the feels. And as for this season, well it's been Sword Art Online for me because of all the talk here about it! Both are highly enjoyable (something about FMA gets to me and I'm not sure why but I like it), so give them a go if you haven't!

There's the "popular" stuff like Naruto, Bleach (not where my name came from, sorry), One Piece etc. but, well, there you go. As I said don't have the time for long series' so much of these are just partials, "every now and again" episodes.

After you watch the original, definitely check out Brotherhood as well, it's even better!

If you want a really good anime movie to watch, I'd suggest Ghost in the Shell.
