Either PS3 or PS4, I would say. Also depends on how powerful your current PC is.

For my money, assuming you have at least a mid-end PC, I would go PS4.

My recommendation is Playstation. If you choose to go last gen, one point you missed is free online. Also, blu-ray player. Much better and wider selection of games.
It will have support for longer, especially if you like Japanese games.

For you, as a Nintendo owner, I would recommend going with PS3 first, enjoy its vast library of games, both exclusive and 3rd party, and then, once you've had all the fun, in a year or so, trade it in for an upgrade to PS4 which will have a nice sized library by then.

Get a PS3.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

If there are a lot of PS3 games you haven't played then I'd suggest the PS3 route. So many quality games for cheap that you won't have to wait on. Grab PS+ and it would be instantly worthwhile.

Because 1: We're not sure if all the PS3 games will be ported, not all the good exclusives were published by Sony.

and 2: PS Now's service could be absolute trash, there's no point putting eggs in a basket just yet. We already saw how ridiculous the prices are, and not everyone has decent internet to play the games reasonably. if Onlive or any other cloud service has told us anything they're okay at best, horrible at worst.

PS now works just fine and unless he plans on renting jrpgs that last over 100 hours for 90 days then he doesn't need to worry about pricing, sure as hell would be cheaper than buying PS3 + the games

I sure wouldn't trust isps to make sure the games run well, look what they did to netflix

Squeezol's Fanclub Member? is that how it works?

Why can't I hold all these no gaemz?

Always looking to improve my awful drawings ;_;

I would say get PS4.

Xbox one or ps4. They are remaking a lot of the big last gen games. Also games will slowly start going 8th gen only. So while you won't miss out on much this year if you get a 360/ps3, You certainly will starting next year.

As to how to decide which console to get.

Get a ps4 if
you have a nice gaming PC since a lot of xb1 games are xb1/PC.
like the ps4 announced/released exclusives better.
want the best graphics possible on consoles.
want to save some money since it sounds like you want to get the kinect xb1.

Get a xbox one if
you want to play multiplayer with your friends since you mentioned they all play on the xb1.
like the xbox one announced/released exclusives better.
Being able to playing around with kinect is more important than the better graphics.

I would probably go with the xbox one if I was in your situation assuming you don't have a gaming PC. Both consoles will have plenty of games to entertain you with. And to me at least, being able to play with friends is very important. On the other hand if you aren't big on multiplayer than the ps4 would be the better choice.

Heh, I don't know what to say about that. Folklore costs 30 euros here :(

PS3 + PS+ and ofcourse you buy the other games you might want. That is a good deal.

I would recommend the ps4. The PS4 will have the better version on multi platform games and has the better exclusives. Not to mention with playstation now you lay the ps3 games you want to as well. Not to mention the games you get with ps+ are far better then what you get with games with gold right now.
