2006 and 2008 were the most relevant? News to me. Guess you stopped gaming every other year.

The 360 was my favorite console last gen, but I have to admit the failure rate was ridiculous in the early days of it.

That whole thread is gold, but ' Globally in the US' just takes the damn crown!

I don't see the Xbox One passing the PS4 in sales and i doubt the Xbox One will have any exclusives winning GOTY awards this gen either. So no, they can't take first place.

LTD is goal posting/handicap. He called XB1 #2. LTD logic = XB1 is #3. He should try to be more consistent.

You're right, it's not the first. I didn't experience it myself, but the PS2 apparently had lots of DRE problems. But almost 7 out of 10 units are failures (they calculated 68%)? It should be illegal to release product that failure-prone

| sales2099 said: Well it certainly isn't the most current or as relevant as gen 8. I'll be the 1st to say that gen 7 now is just sloppy seconds for 3rd parties to squeeze more sales out of their games. |
I think the 3rd parties are still making games for gen 7 for the 10s of millions of people who have yet to make the switch. There are still more gamers in gen7 than gen8 at the moment. That is hardly sloppy seconds.

In the process of reading the article, but holy ****!! 68%?! I thought it was around 50%, but jeez, userbase numbers clearly suffered from 2005-2007.

360 #3 now, in 2014 after gen 8 launched. Which i said previously. When gen 7 was the most current and relevant, I enjoyed a steady 2nd. I'm cool. You apparantly, are taking me back to debates I had 4 years ago lol. Move on......your #1 now. Geez. |
You always choose to blatantly ignore that there is no set deadlines for a generation. 7th gen is still going on. PS3, 360 & Wii are still sold. This means that if 360 is currently in 3rd, on 7/18/2014, the XBox360 was 3rd place, not the PS3.
Any "rules" you decide to put forth are meaningless. Facts are facts.
I expect a "there is the sting" response, but it isn't anything to do with being stung, it has to do with reality.

lol no, I enjoyed #2 for the most relevant parts of the gen. If I was #3 then I wouldn't have enjoyed gen 7 so much. But I loved gen 7. So your argument = wrong :) See as you guys are doing now, the winner is allowed to change goal posts. The loser never does. Nintendo fans gave us those powers in gen 7 :). But again......seriously......just let gen 7 go. Your #1 now...... |
Which is why your rules are now invalid. You don't get to change the goalposts anymore.
