You're right, it's not the first. I didn't experience it myself, but the PS2 apparently had lots of DRE problems. But almost 7 out of 10 units are failures (they calculated 68%)? It should be illegal to release product that failure-prone

In the process of reading the article, but holy ****!! 68%?! I thought it was around 50%, but jeez, userbase numbers clearly suffered from 2005-2007.
