How so? At least Midna and Ghirahim won't play as Ike or Marth, or any other character before. They are just filling the roster with clones.

It's the stock name and look when you go into the character creation; so it's the one in all the artwork etc.

Both Default. Robin is a boy/girl name (so it makes sense i guess?) and thats there bodies if you didn't change anything for them

First SSB has zero FE characters and was still a great game. They have just iconic characters. These two are not imporat or iconic.

I personally want Midna since before SSBB came out.

And Ness from Earthboud/Mother was there, even with the third game not coming to the west. As said. just iconic characters.

not saying smash's roster is terrible by any means,..

...but these feel like padding more than anything. FE isn't a big enough franchise to need this much representation.

Asking about "Do you know ____" on a gaming forum is pointless and silly, the answer is obvious. But if you ask random people they'll likely have a better idea who Groose and Ghirihim are than, say, Robin (which as you can see in the thread a fair few aren't 100% sure either).

Its not about loving/hating a character. But it doesn't make any sense cuz of something that sokd more. Look at the roster. Toon Link is in the game as well as SSBB at that time they could of put in Midna instead if it was based on your guys logic.

Sales=/= More important. If that were the case FE wouldn't have any characters, there best game sold less than LoZ Worst. Same can be said with pokemon and mario.

So in the end, the MOST SUCCESSFUL FIRE EMBLEM vs LEAST SUCCESSFUL ZELDA (home Console) should be up for debate. Why do you think Greninja is in the game over many others? I can list a ton of reasons. Pavolink loves LoZ but that doesn't mean a character who will be forgotten amoung LoZ fan base should be in over the most successful FE protagonist.

For whatever reason, i thought the default name was Avatar and I changed the look, so I don't remember what the original looks like. Oh well.

In a sense, yeah FE with 4 reps is alot, especially considering other franchise numbers. This arguement can be said with star fox as well in the past.
