Yeah, I guess Robin will be enough for FE in the next SSB. They can focus on more important characters.

Yeah, two FE clones are enough. Just Ike and Marth.

Talking about Metroid, it's nice to see how Zero Suit Samus and Samus, while being the same, plays completly different. Something we can't say about FE characters.

But he isnt wrong. Fire Emblem just isnt that big of a franchise, so why give it 4 characters in a game?

Fans would want other more iconic character back like ice climbers or something.

I dont have anything against Fire Emblem,  but 4 characters are just too much.

In a sense, yeah FE with 4 reps is alot, especially considering other franchise numbers. This arguement can be said with star fox as well in the past. 


well (and i dont' wan to make you mad) but my initial reaction to these characters was "who?". 

there is nothing wrong with a little bit of fan service to the lesser known lesser popular franchises but 2 is plenty especially when ike and marth play so similar.  hearing in one of the posts above that robin is only the default artwork for a customizable avatar makes this character even less memoriable as most people who play FE probably don't even play with that look/name then.  this particular entry just seems lazy.

or put another (more positive) way,.. there was a uniqueness and excitment that came with some of the other new comers like mega man, the wii fit trainer, the AC villiager, or little mac than even without playing you just knew they were going to add a lot to the game.   those were just soo much better newcomers that it is hard not to be disappointed with this annoucement.

You dont kno S*** about smash i see. Marth/Ike/Robin are completely unique, only an idiot or somebody that doesn't kno SSB would think they were clones.. As of Now Lucina is the only clone but we haven't see her fully yet
