JRPG's are certainly not for me. I hate Japanese characters, design, voice, etc...
Tactical-Strategy also don't appeal to me in the slightest.

FPS. (i just hate the view, but SOMETIMES I still play FPS/ FP something games.), I enjoy life sims......but ONLY The Sims kind of life sim.
Rythm-Music is fun as a little small game but that would be my first choice.
Most platformers do nothing for me. Perhaps it's because of the sheer volume of them over the years but, looking back, I probably never did like them all that much. I almost never completed pure platformer games. They're usually so static that I become totally disengaged, stop playing, and never come back. I'm also not a fan of the short "stage" style of game presentation, either, where everything is broken down into small, linear segments.
Jumping as a primary game-play mechanism is, to me, extremely uninspiring. I like more dynamic challenges.
Never liked music-games or driving-games(with the exception of Mario Kart for some reason). Also can't do fighting-games anymore

Paper Mario is the only exception. But I don't enjoy most RPGs.
Out of all the genres I have played, I can think of at least one I liked.
First person shooters, fighting games, sports games, MMO's and rhythm games
Surprised to see so many that dont like rhythm games.
Guitar Hero
Rock Band
Parappa The Rapper
Rhythm Heaven
Gitaroo Man
Elite Beat Agents
