I know loads of people who go out and get their Nintendo 3DS's and play down at a place called Hanley that's close to me. I think it's just lame if your feel embarressed or building into your mind that people are judging you. Judging on what? Because it's the only portable actually worth having and playing on? Bitch please I would be more embarresed of walking around with my Vita lol.

But don't get me wrong I like Vita though it's just dying and lacking games and going to keep lacking and I like the 3DS. I was only joking with the comment above, but if you really feel like that then maybe you should question your life. If you feel you will be embarresed to go around playing a console in public then clearly you've been thinking way too much about it. I mean what should you care about how strangers are judging you? Over 45 million 3DS owners so it can't be that bad.

1. Occasionally, but I most often play at home.

2. People can suck a wang. Doesn't seem like they care, and if they did it wouldn't matter to me.

Currently playing:

Bloodbath Paddy Wagon Ultra 9

- Yes

- No, i actually asked some people in the bus if they had a Pikachu for trade but they just laughed and ignored me so then i did feel judged but who cares!

1) I play in public yes.
2) No.
3) ----

1. Do you ever play your 3DS in public? If so where "e.g. on the bus, at the library, etc" Please mention as much detail as possible.

A/ Often but not all the time. Mostly at work.I have an hour lunch, so I eat for 30 minutes or so and then goback to Mario kart 7, pushmo and monhun.

2. If you answered yes to the above, do you ever feel ashamed or stigmatized for using the 3DS in public? Do you feel that people are silently judging you?

A/ Yes I have. I believe some people do, however for me it is not different than having my phone out and playing something on it. Furthemore I am 27 years old... I am too old to care about people judging me for playing games.

3. If you don't use your 3DS in public, is it because you are worried about being judged/stigmatized?

A/ see previous answer. I dont use it while travelling since I go to work on my bike :)

Hello, please take my survey if you are at least 18 years or older and if you own a 3DS

Thank you sirs.

1. Yes, on the bus, in between classes at my university.

2. No, I don't care what other people think, and anybody who judges me for enjoying myself while playing a game has greater problems they need to face with their character. F*** them.

I forgot to answer the 2nd question. Well when I was in College, everyone was playing on their DS but no one was playing on the PSP, and that was including everywhere outside of campus too. Plus the people I have seen with a PSP are always little kids. And the people I always seen with a PS Vita are always around age 40 & up. Plus I always show off the 3D effect with the downloaded trailers of Kid Icarus: Uprising & Donkey Kong Country Returns Definitive Version & so fort. I also mention the 3D camera for 3D photos & 3D videos, and show off 3D movies I bootlegged into 10 minute pieces of course. I even got the 3D movie trailers bootlegged because the ones in Nintendo Video app always get replace with new ones. Plus I always figure the 3DS would be almighty this generation anyways, and it is.

1. I play the 3DS at home and in public. I play it in restaurants while I'm waiting for my food.

2. No, and I wouldn't care if people were silently judging me.

3. Nope. Not worried about being judged.

1. I use my 3DS in public sometimes. I'll use it at conventions a lot, but I've also used it on public transit. I've even used it walking down the street sometimes.

2. Depends where. At conventions, I don't feel judged. On public transit, I don't feel judged most of the time. Walking down the street, I sometimes feel judged. But I never feel ashamed. Often I do ride/walk with friends when I do this though, makes things less awkward.

3. On occassions where I choose not to use my 3DS, fear of stigmatization/judgement is rarely a factor.

In public generally I play the 3DS only on airplanes for long flights where there's not a lot to do.

I don't have free time away from the house to play it otherwise anyway, I drive everywhere.

And yes, I will admit sometimes I feel a stigma, but it depends. If I'm sitting next to an attractive girl, I'll usually put away the 3DS, lol. To be fair I don't view my Vita any differently either.
