2. When I did, I was a little self-conscious, but I figured the enjoyment of my game and the passing of time in a manner I wanted was more important than what others thought of me.

You should play your 3DS with the 3D ON and all the way up.

That way they will stop looking as soon as they start.

Actually, I fear being stolen.

3D is horrible. 

Used it for like 5 minutes and never went back.

2. I never have a problem. Me and my friends go to Nintendo World all the time. We carry our 3DS as much as we can. Play them were ever we go. I can care less if anyone has a "issue" with me playing a handheld.
