Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Rants: Project CARS Screws Wii U Owners

I didn't realize the mature way was dropping a self-indulgent rant on how great your opinion is while everyone else's is wrong and stupid.  I bet your shit smells like roses.

I can disagree with an opinion as they disagreed with mine. For future reference, don't be a dip and reply to something you're not a part of. Your wording is incredibly insensitive and ignorant to all sides of the argument we had. I ended it, end of story. The last thing I personally want is the three of us who were involved getting moderated.

Defending a console that has faults (the PS4) is just stupid. I defend the Wii U on the fact it can do more than what people love to claim (and as a programmer and PC builder, knowing what the Wii U can do helps).

Sure the PS4 has its faults (backwards compatibility, many media center features are still missing...), nobody is denying that! EVERY gaming platform has its faults, none of them is perfect... should we end all discussions and close down all gaming forums now?

But you were claiming that one of the PS4s faults is "pathetic indie support", and that's not true IMHO.

And do you really think, the WiiU is perfect and has no fault whatsoever? No aspect which Nintendo could improve in the near future or should have improved before launch? Because if it has also its faults (as every other gaming platform): why are you defending it? That's stupid according to you!

Aaah the excuses start again, of course. So you're going to basically tell me that every Wii U owners is constantly on the internet and knows about every little detail missing from the Wii U version of one of their games. Also explain Injustice: Gods Among Us, if you will.

The Wii U might have a thriving indie scene, but it's completely idiotic to suggest that it's more thriving than the PS4s indie scene, seriously.

So explain to me, why would people care, if a game is out late on their console, if they only play on that one console anyway? Do you seriously believe that the normal customer gives a flying fuck about that? If you only own one system to game on then you'll get a game that you want, when it's out and don't give a damn about where the game was on first. This whole notion that Wii U third party games sell worse because a bit of content is missing ,is complete bollocks, cause it suggests that the crushing majority of Wii U owners know about all that little stuff, the way more likely situation is that Wii U owners simply don't care about non Nintendo games on their Wii U, for whatever reason.

See, you're gettin mad here because I'm providing reasons that counter your own. It's idiotic to compare the PS4 indie to the PC indie market (See I can do it too), but the PS4 indie scene compared to the Wii U's is pretty pathetic. Gods Amoung Us was a piss poor port, like every other title.

Sniper Elite V2 - no multiplayer/DLC

CoD - No DLC

ACIV - no DLC

These are some examples

hang on you are not buying gamed cause of some missing DLC?  DLC does not mean the game is incomplete.

Assuming you are a Wii U owner only. The only games that did not deserve a purchase are:

1. Mass Effect 3, due to how all three games are conected and because a trilogy come out at the same time for less.

2. The second batman game. Was a complete downgrade compared to the launch one.

3. Agree witi SE2 only cause multiplayer was missing.

4. EA sports games because they were rebranded version 12 and tried to be sold off as V 13.

All the other games have been within the system capabilities and those games suffered the same bug issues as even the competing platforms.

I'm just going to take the mature route and stop, between you and Corina you have no idea what you're talking about. Defending a console that has faults (the PS4) is just stupid. I defend the Wii U on the fact it can do more than what people love to claim (and as a programmer and PC builder, knowing what the Wii U can do helps). Sony took MS route and decided to be controlled by third party. For a company that it's own fanboys claim is "for the gamer" it's recent decisions are completely asinine. I'll enjoy my third party on my PC, but i'll be picking up third party on my Wii U as well. If I ever get a PS4, it better be 200 dollars and have plenty of exclusives because I refuse to buy another third party title on a platform that changed it's own philosophy on a dime.

What an utterly useless post. I say that the PS4 has very good indie support and that most third party games on Wii U fail because the audience isn't there and you go on a ridiculous rant about how I have no idea and how it's stupid to defend a system that has faults (because the Wii U is faultless or what?)?! Dude, that's grade school level of arguing right there, I make a point mainly about the Wii U with one sentence mentioning the indie support on the PS4 and you respond with your reasons for why you think the PS4 sucks and why the Wii U is great but don't even remotely address what I said.

You say that as though this entire conversation hasn't been documented, and I afforded you as much sensitivity as you did with the opinions of others in this thread.  And so we are all on the same page, the mature way probably doesn't involve flippantly disregarding the arguments of others and petty insults.

Just back off and ignore, christ. You would get in trouble just by interjecting yourself in to this

Well, if you had to spend money to make a game on multiple platforms, they all have their benefits:

1 - PC, development tools are readily available, you can start working without asking anyone permission, distribute and fund any way you want, even is Valve and MS don't want you on their store.

2 - XB1, still relatively new, not very powerful, and the install base is relatively small (smaller than the Wii U even) but it uses the exact same libraries as the PC that you already work on and the user base is enthousiastic about 3rd party content, at least as much as it is about 1st party content.

3 - PS4, has a bigger installed base than the XB1, not a single game of the game genre as the one you are looking or (simulation racer) users very enthusiastic about your game and it's architecture is relatively powerful (more than any other console) the libraries are different, but relatively close to what the PC version of your game has.

4 - Wii U: Weaker hardware, less memory, small installed base, relatively little interest for most third party games, and completely alien set of programming libraries... it makes the port complicated on a technical point of view and likely to loose money (it could make a lot of money, but it's also likely that it won't).

So yeah, delay it, unless you have some kind of deal with Nintendo.
